As the northern hemisphere of the globe grows slowly warmer, the Season of Alola marches on, bringing us the next event in line and the newest evolutionary line to be added to the game to date. We're over half way done with the month, and this should be our last event of March, so let's keep our spirits high and roll the dice with every new catch along the way!

Lush Jungle Event

  • Fomantis and Lurantis, Grass Type Pokemon from the Alola region (not Bug Type despite how they look) will make their debut in Pokemon Go.
  • Tapu Lele, the Fairy/Psychic Type Legendary Pokemon that is Guardian of Akala Island in the main series, will also make its debut in Five Star raids.
  • A special Timed Research line will be available that will reward Pokemon relevant to the event, including the previously mentioned Fomantis.
  • The Akala Island leg of the Season of Alola will begin, including the second part of the Seasonal Research line.
  • A special set of Pokemon will begin spawning more frequently in the wild
  • A special set of Pokemon will be available via raids
  • A special set of Pokemon will be available via field research

Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight

A bit of a mouthful of a name, but this new event-within-the-event will see Cottonee spawn in parks at a higher than normal rate, as well as the introduction of Shiny Cottonee. This event will take place on the weekend of March 26 and March 27.

Join your fellow Trainers for a Lush Jungle park spotlight! On Saturday, March 26, 2022, and Sunday, March 27, 2022, Cottonee will be appearing more frequently in parks. And, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter a Shiny Cottonee—if you’re lucky!

Fomantis, the Sickle Grass Pokémon and Lurantis, the Bloom Sickle Pokémon will make their debuts in Pokémon GO!
