On June 13, 2019, Valve released their version of Dota Auto-Chess; Dota Underlords.

Auto Chess is a custom game mode created for Dota 2 last year by a team in China that has been amazingly popular. It has a standalone version available in beta through the Play Store.

Auto Chess (Beta) - Android

Gameplay consists of purchasing Dota characters from a pool and making them fight other player's teams of units. The Dota characters are simplified down to one or two skills, and combining characters of the same name will unlock more powerful versions of them. All combat is controlled by the AI.

Dota Underlords is extremely similar to Auto Chess because, well, they use almost exactly the same characters. Many changes have been made from the mod to the official release, from UI improvements to balance updates.
