A3! Actor Management Game Releases in Two Days

A3title
  • A3! which stands for Act! Addict! Actors! Is a mobile title by LIBER entertainment simulating the management of an agency of 20 male actors.
  • Game is releasing in two days according to a Twitter announcement, making the release date 10/23/2019.

At The Theater

Dubbed the "ikemen actor game," A3! is a new entry to the variety of management simulation games in the JP market. What makes it stand out though is the fact that these aren't idol singers-- though they do record songs. The guys in A3! instead are budding actors, and the protagonist is tasked with getting to know all of them to help nurture their talents towards fame and the restoration of their agency.

A3! is also notable as a title with English translation-- while male idol games such as THE iDOLM@STER: SideM and Ensemble Stars! have enjoyed success, nether have been localized to an English audience.

The Troupes

4x 5-man Troupes

Like in BanG Dream! The game features subunits of sorts-- there are four groups of five, or "troupes" of actors, each themed around a season of the year. The characters are fully voiced in Japanese as well; the Official Trailer above showcases some of them.

Spring Troupe

The Spring Troupe: Sakuya Sakuma, Masumi Usui, Tsuzuru Minagi, Itaru Chigasaki, and Citron.

Summer Troupe

Summer Troupe:  Tenma Sumeragi, Yuki Rurikawa, Muku Sakisaka, Misumi Ikaruga and Kazunari Miyoshi.

Autumn Troupe

The Autumn Troupe consists of: Banri Settsu, Juza Hyodo, Taichi Nanao, Omi Fushimi and Sakyo Furuichi.

Winter Troupe

Finally, the Winter Troupe includes Tsumugi Tsukioka, Tasuku Takato, Hisoka Mikage, Homare Arisugawa, and Azuma Yukishiro.

Gameplay

The actual gameplay resembles mobage titles like THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls, in which the player follows a visual novel-like main story and trains various skills. There are also a variety of mini-games featuring the characters, though these are optional and can be autoplayed as well.

Overall a very casual-friendly game, A3! stays focused on the story, development of actors and dialogue with the cast. High-rarity cards-- SSRs-- are relatively easy to get, pointing towards an accessible character collector.

Links have yet to appear for the Google Play or App Store, but a recent Twitter Post points towards the release date coming soon.
