Contracts

The main challenges are as follows:

  • Dog rush at the beginning needs to be handled, limiting the amount of time we have to set up initial Operators
  • Casters will patrol around the middle section, have a 2 grid attack range, and hit all operators in adjacent grids to the main target.  This means we need to spread out our Operators to avoid being overwhelmed with damage, especially when there are more than 1.
  • Dog rush towards the end of the map means we have to have high DPS or multi-target/splash to take them all down.
  • There are a mix of high DEF and high RES enemies, meaning mixed damage types and/or debuffs can be very useful.

These are the Contracts I recommend:

  • The Slow DP regen can be handled by Vanguards, but the Slow DP + the Operator DEF down makes it much more difficult for our Vanguards to survive long enough.
  • Limited Max Operators can be compensated for by using a Strong DPS or Support Operator.
  • Other combinations are of course possible, but I found that it required strong Vanguards to get through the beginning.

Recommended Team Composition

  • 1 DP-On-Kill Vanguard, V1, This could potentially be a Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard instead
  • 1 Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard, V2
  • 1 ST Medic, M1
  • 1 Defender, D1, I used a Healing Defender because of the innate RES and to help with heals, but a normal Defender will probably work as well
  • 1 Eyjafjalla, Eyj, with S2, either our own or from Support.  If your other units are stronger, you can potentially get away with other less powerful Operators here.  In general, multi-target or high burst skills will help you get through the rush parts.
  • 1 AoE Caster, whichever is your strongest.  I cleared once with Skyfire, and once with Gitano at E1lvl60.  Gitano was easier with an appropriate timed S2.

Here is an example of the team I used:

Deployment

Unit placement can be seen in the image below, and deployment order should be done exactly as presented.  Each Operator can be placed as soon as there is sufficient DP.

Deployment Order:

  1. V1: Vigna - DP-On-Kill Vanguard (time skill usage with the start of the 2-dog pairs)
  2. M1: Shining - ST Medic (we need to get the medic down to survive the Caster attacks)
  3. V2: Courier - Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard (deployed before the first Rabid Hound Pro (grey dog))
  4. At this point I retreated V1 to regain DP to more quickly deploy the following Operators
  5. D1: Gummy - healing Defender - I waited for the Caster to pass so that I could get my DPS in place before blocking it.  I placed my Defender before my DPS so that Caster attacks (when there are more than 1) would be split between my Operators and not 100% focused on my Defender.  If you need more dps ealier, you could try switching the order and placing the Defender later.
  6. Eyj: Eyjafjalla - use S2 and watch things burn
  7. C1: Skyfire - AoE Caster
  8. V1: Vigna - DP-On-Kill Vanguard - replace this operator in case it is needed

Formation should look like this:

  • The main dog rushes come from the left starting at about kill 23, and from the bottom right starting at about kill 54.  Save cooldowns for these times if you can.

Enjoy your rewards!
