Should You Pull?

No. Eunectes looks tempting on paper, between S2’s long-lasting Stun and S3's potential as a “delete button,” and she can indeed tear up the field when the situation suits her strengths. However, her SP charge mechanic, high DP cost, and duelist nature make her roster impact lower overall then other powerful 6 Operators.  With a Thorns banner is coming soon, and with another limited unit closer than you might think, most players will be better served by saving your resources.

As with all banners, a 5 or higher Operator is guaranteed in the first 10 rolls. Should you pull for that? No. Meteorite and Flint are both decent Operators, but their archetypes are so underpowered that it's not worth spending Orundum to pull for them.

Quick Overview

Duelist Defender

+ VERY high base HP, ATK, and DEF

+ Talent increases her damage when her HP is over half and augments her defenses with the Shelter buff when her HP is under half

+ S2 is the longest-lasting Stun currently available in Arknights (up to 18 seconds at M3!) and also boasts a massive ATK boost

+ S3 is the perfect package: it grants a titanic ATK and DEF buff, regenerates HP, increases Eunectes’ Block by +2, and has one of the funnier animations in the game to boot

= S3 self-Stuns when its duration ends

- Archetype weaknesses: Block-1, high DP cost, can only recover SP while blocking at least one enemy

- Skills can have fairly long charge times, and cannot be reliably heli-dropped, considering she only gains SP while blocking

Brawler Guard

+ Usual benefit of Brawler Guards: high ASPD

+ Talent greatly increases the damage Flint deals to enemies she is not Blocking

+ S1 pushes enemies back and Slows them

+ S2 gives Flint Block-0, buffs her ATK and ASPD, and causes her attacks to Slow enemies; combined with her Talent, this Skill seriously amps up Flint’s DPS

- Usual downsides of Brawler Guards: low ATK, Block-1

- S2 has low uptime

- Much less powerful and useful than Mountain, even when accounting for their rarity difference

AoE Sniper

+ Usual archetype strengths: high ATK, long attack range, AoE splash attacks

+ Huge AoE damage potential, between the crit chance of her Talent and the burst from her S1

+ With ATK buffs and some RNG, she can take out even high-DEF enemies

+ Offers some team utility with the flat DEF debuff from her S2

- Usual archetype weaknesses: Very slow ASPD, high DP cost

- Slow ASPD also slows down her S1, which charges [When Attacking]

- Can be a little RNG dependent (she needs her Talent to trigger when her S1 is up to maximize her DPS)

Close-Range Sniper

+ Usual archetype strengths: High base ATK

+ Talent gives her high minimum damage, making her fairly effective against high-DEF enemies

+ S1 is a large ASPD boost, putting her minimum damage threshold to great use against high-DEF enemies

+ S2 increases her ATK and causes her normal attacks to hit twice for the duration, tearing apart low-DEF enemies

- Usual archetype weaknesses: High DP Cost, short attack range, and slightly slower Attack Speed than an Anti-Air Sniper

- Enemies have to be in specific grids in front of her for her Talent to take maximum effect

- Skills have low uptime

Eunectes

Eunectes E2

Eunectes likes to have a good time, and she goes out of her way to make sure the Doctor has one as well. Boasting a rare archetype and a skillset full of quirky tricks, this slippery Pythia knows how to make a case for her involvement on the battlefield. After all, what Doctor could say no to sky-high stats, an 18-second-long Stun, and a nearly-invincible giant robot piloted by a pet parrot?!

Flint

Flint E2

Flint is a Brawler Guard, and Brawler Guards have been in a bit of a rough spot up until now. Their damage suffers against high-DEF enemies, and their low survivability makes them a weak link on the battlefield. Flint tackles these troubles in a fascinating new way: she uses her S2 to obtain Block-0 so she can’t be hit by melee enemies, then uses her Talent to deal huge bonus damage to enemies she isn’t Blocking. Who says meatheads can’t think (or punch) outside the box?

Meteorite

Meteorite E2

Meteorite might have taken the “AoE” part of “AoE Sniper” a little too far. Her S1 is an auto-use Skill that increases the splash radius and damage of her next shot, and her S2 drops a huge firebomb on enemies, dealing damage in an area and reducing her targets’ DEF. The really nasty part comes from her crit-chance Talent, which can trigger on her attacks AND her Skills, transforming those AoE strikes into nuclear missile drops. Hmm… on second thought, perhaps she’s taken “AoE” just far enough!

Aciddrop

Aciddrop E2

Aciddrop is a sk8tr gurl, she said “See you l8ter”—wait, no, wrong sassy skateboarder. Rather than dropping pop music albums on the teen scene, Aciddrop likes to drop a pincushion’s worth of arrows on her enemies. Her Skills increase the number of arrows this Sniper can shoot—S1 increases her ASPD, S2 increases her number of hits per attack—and her Talent gives her attacks a minimum damage threshold, helping her pierce through that “high DEF” crap some enemies try to give her. There’s nothing “Complicated” about this Operator; she just wants her enemies to “Stop Standing There” already!
