The main challenges are as follows:

  • Lots of Drones and snipers!  Kill them before they kill us.
  • Bombtails: Especially when buffed, their Bombs hurt! They hit allies in the tiles surrounding the initial target.  Best way to handle them is to soak them.
  • Ranged grids are in the middle, so Ranged Operators need to be pointed either towards the oncoming enemies, or towards our base.
  • melee enemies are a combination of Slugs and Loggers, the former come in numbers and the latter hit hard

These are the Contracts I chose:

  • I found the biggest challenge with this combination was being able to kill everything fast enough with both the enemy speed increase and the ATK down debuff.
  • Fortunately, the enemies Snipers and Drones don't have very high ATK, so we can get away with little or no healing as long as they aren't targeting our squishes.
  • Since the melee enemies move fast, we need a good combination of blocking and DPS

Recommended Team Composition

  • 2 Skill-DP-Recovery or Support Vanguards, V1 and V2.  With the reduced DP recovery rate, we really want to maximize our DP output.  If you are having trouble you can try using 3, but I found 2 to be sufficient.
  • 4 Snipers, S1 - S4 - We need strong Snipers to pull off this strategy, as some of the drones move very quickly
  • 1 Push/Pull Specialist, Sp1, we are going to use this unit to as our soak until we have enough DP to get down something tougher.  a puller works best.
  • 2 Guards, G1 and G2, preferably Ranged Guards, or AoE Guards.
  • 1 Healing Defender, D1
  • 2 Flex melee Units with very high DEF or strong self sustain.  Hellagur is a powerhouse here if you have him.

Here is the team I used:

Unit placement can be seen in the image below, and deployment order should be done exactly as described

Deployment Order:

  1. V1: Myrtle - Utility Vanguard (positioned to help V2 with DPS)
  2. V2: Texas - Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard (good AoE dps and stuns was a huge help, especially at the beginning)
  3. After this, timing is important.  If we put out our Snipers one by one, they will be focused and killed by the Snipers.  Instead, we will wait until we have enough DP to deploy our first set of ST Snipers, and then our damage soak (our Specialist).  In my case, it was 46 DP.
  4. S1: Kroos - Anti-Air Sniper
  5. S2: Platinum - Anti-Air Sniper
  6. S3: Exusiai - Anti-Air Sniper
  7. Sp1: Cliffheart - Puller Specialist
  8. G1: Lappland - Ranged Guard (to block the sniper and help dps the Logger)

Our formation currently looks like this:

Next we want to get out our last sniper, but after deploy it we need to put down a new unit on both sides of it so that enemy snipers don't target it either when entering the map, or when coming out of the middle section.  So again we need to wait a little while so that we have enough time to do the following all at the same time.

  1. Deploy S4: Meteorite - AoE Sniper ( This could probably be an Anti-Air Sniper as well)
  2. Retreat V1 Myrtle, and deploy D1: Nearl - Healing Defender
  3. Retreat Sp1 Cliffheart, and Deploy G2: Hellagur - Enmity Guard

Our formation should look like this:

This is basically our formation the rest of the time.

  • The melee in the hellagur spot must be deployed before the bombtails come out or your ranged will get blowed up.
  • If you don't have a self-sustain unit to place in the spot of hellagur, you may have to replace it if it dies to the logger. (replace it before the next bobtail comes out)
  • Using more ranged guards with your melee units may help if you are getting Drone leaks
  • We can swap out our V2 with a Guard (I used the AoE Guard Specter)
  • Remember that you can let 2 units through and still win!
  • I used a very similar strategy to clear this with the "No Sniper No Caster" Contract instead.  I'll include the video below as well in case you don't have Snipers but have strong Supporters and Ranged Guards.

Enjoy your rewards!
