Botzu's Quick Evaluation

+ Talent 1: deals additional Arts damage to the target based on a percentage of enemy DEF, making her even better at killing high DEF enemies, which is a strength of her Class
+ Dynamic range of prioritization and utility offered by her 3 Skills makes her very adaptable to different situations.
+ S1: good crowd control that prioritizes unblocked enemies and binds them
+ S2: Vaporizes high DEF enemies by prioritizing them and decreasing Attack Interval
+ S3: Good DPS Skill with a unique Caster ability changes damage to Physical, prioritizes low DEF, and disables enemy special abilities
= Talent 2: Increases her ATK and ASPD when there are no adjacent allies, a buff that can at times be difficult to activate
= Different strengths and utility than Eyjafjalla
- S3: has a long cooldown and works counter to her Talent

Operator Overview

Ceobe has a simple list of things she likes to do: eat well, drink well, sleep well, and beat up bad guys. Her disarming smile and sandy tresses are almost enough to distract from the armory of weapons she carries on her back, each one charged with elemental energy. This 6 ST Caster hurls her various weapons into the fray to deal extreme Arts damage and crowd-control her opponents. She is especially good at changing the enemies she targets based on what you need her to do.

Casters are already excellent counters to high-DEF enemies, and Ceobe takes this to a whole new level with her first Talent, Thresher, which increases her damage by a percentage of her target’s DEF. She gets a further DPS boost from her E2 Talent, Lone Journey, which increases her ATK and attack speed when she’s not adjacent to another ally. Her Skills give her a variety of options to use all this bonus damage with, and each has its own unique priority for the enemies it will target:

  1. Really Cold Axe is an auto-trigger Skill that increases the damage of Ceobe’s next attack and causes it to Bind the target (stopping their movement). This attack prioritizes unblocked enemies where the Bind will be most effective, making it a good crowd-control option.
  2. Really Hot Knives is a manual Skill with great uptime that dramatically increases Ceobe’s attack speed and causes her to prioritize the highest-DEF enemies in her range. This Skill melts armored bosses like cotton candy in the desert sun.
  3. Really Heavy Spear is a manual Skill with a large SP cost but a correspondingly large effect. Ceobe’s ATK and attack range increase, her damage changes to physical, and her attacks Silence their targets (preventing special abilities). Since she deals physical damage with this Skill, she prioritizes the lowest-DEF enemies in range while it’s active, giving Ceobe an interesting hybrid niche amongst Casters. (Remember that her Talent is less effective against enemies with low DEF, however.)

Finding an isolated deployment spot to activate Lone Journey can be difficult on some maps, and Thresher doesn’t give much bonus damage against enemies with low DEF. Despite this, Ceobe is an absolute wrecking ball at destroying high-DEF enemies, which is usually the most important task for a ST Caster to fulfill. Give her an inch (of space) and this cerberus-inspired weaponsmaster will take a mile (-long spear and ram it straight through her enemy’s thorax).

Newbie Tier List Explanation

S2 has excellent damage and prioritizes the targets you actually want your casters to attack. S1 has some occasional application for its bind.

Elite Promotion Discussion

  • 3rd Skill: Really Heavy Spear - When facing enemies with high RES that can laugh off Really Hot Knives, an E2 Ceobe can turn to Really Heavy Spear, which turns her attacks into physical damage, gives her an Anti-Air Sniper's attack range, and massively buffs her ATK.  Anything that actually survives being impaled by Ceobe's spears will then have its special abilities sealed, giving Ceobe extra utility in the bargain.  It's a nifty Skill with some niche uses, but in most situations Really Hot Knives is a better Skill to use.

  • Talent 2 - Lone Journey - Buffs Ceobe's ATK and ASPD if there are no allies deployed next to her.  Especially on maps with limited ranged grids, the buff can be more trouble to get than it's worth, but it's a nice bonus when you can swing it.

  • Talent 1 Upgrade - Thresher - Thresher is Ceobe's defining Talent in the same way Really Hot Knives is her defining Skill (especially because of how well the two work together!)  At E2, Thresher upgrades to do 15% more of an enemy's DEF stat as damage, which is a massive increase in performance (especially when using the aforementioned Really Hot Knives).

Skill Discussion

  • Note: For Ceobe's talent 2 Lone Journey, summons and placeable tokens (like roadblocks) count as friendly units.

* Note that this skill is graded assuming the unit has her CCR-X Module level 3 ("Very Dry Bread"). If you do NOT plan to get this unit's upgraded Module, treat the priority of this skill lower.

While Ceobe has always had a solid niche thanks to her good ST DPS, her value in the meta has declined over time as stronger DPS options with more utility have come along. However, Ceobe is one of the lucky old units who got a meaningful buff from her Module. While her niche remains the same, and thus limits her meta value in the age of wide sweeping heavy DPS, the raw boost to her damage that her CCR-X Module brings warrants a second look at Ceobe.

Ceobe's main skill is her S2 since it synergizes so well with her Talent. Against high DEF enemies, each rapid fire attack adds large amounts of damage, compounding into very solid totals. Both Mastery and Module are very important to reaching those damage potentials. Her S2 Masteries provide a well above average amount of additional DPS, adding close to 33% or more DPS (depending on enemy DEF), compared to a more typical 10-20% gain on other units.

Her S1 and S3 will have various niche usages for Ceobe adherents and Nicheknights players, but ultimately their damage is way too low to consider. They don't synergize with her Talent nearly as well, resulting in subpar performance.

Be cautious of Ceobe in Integrated Strategies. While her DPS still warrants a decent grade here, she has nowhere near the value of the other 6★ Casters who are already low value. Unfortunately the gimmicks of the various boss enemies in both IS#2 and IS#3 work against her, made worse by increasing RES at higher difficulties. She is generally not worth the Hope cost.

Integrated Strategies Tier List Explanation

General IS Notes

+ Damage scales with enemy Defense, which some relics can increase.
+ S2: Strong Single-target bursts of Arts damage with really good cycling
- Generally neither as powerful nor as versatile as Eyjafjalla.

IS2 Specific Notes

Deals decently well with bulky bosses and minibosses thanks to her Talents.

Good Relics

Broken Wand - Malediction
'Brilliant Lament'

Relic Interactions

Doesn't interact particularly well with any specific relic set, but DPS Casters have very good generic options.

Recommended Promotion

E2 recommended for access to S2 Masteries.

Base Skill Analysis

Her E2 RIIC skill gives +20% to Factory productivity in the first hour and thereafter +1%per hour, up to +25%.  Her E0 RIIC skill provides Capacity Limit +8 to the Factory and a morale reduction as well. Thus, when paired up with Vermeil, (whose skill increases productivity by 2% for every +1 increase in Capacity Limit provided by any Operators assigned to that Factory), Ceobe's total productivity increase is 41% at its maximum, the highest increase in the game (at the time of this writing).

Profile

A wanderer from birth, Ceobe was infected through her prolonged treks through the harsh wilderness. After being rescued by Rhodes Island and successfully passing the Operator exam, she became a member of Rhodes Island.

Clinical Analysis

Increase Trust to 25.
Imaging tests reveal blurry outlines of this operator's internal organs, clouded with abnormal dark spots. Her circulatory system shows an abnormally high rate of Originium particulate matter, with other signs of Oripathy infection, we can confirm that the Operator is Infected.

Operator Ceobe has clear signs of Infection, with crystals deposited mainly on the trunk perhaps due to blood circulation.

A long period of wandering has resulted in this Operator never receiving formal treatment, and her infection is quickly getting worse. A significant cause for worry.

Has she dragged this body around all over the world? This ship is perhaps the last chance she has for a miracle, but her body... I hope there is still something we can do......

Ceobe and Rhodes Island first made contact as enemies on the battlefield. At the time, a hungry Ceobe attacked one of Rhodes Island's reserve squads while they were performing missions in Leithanien. The tired and hungry Ceobe was eventually defeated after a bitter battle. The Rhodes Island Operators then disarmed her and dropped her off at the Leithanian branch of Rhodes Island, but due to the deteriorating living conditions of the Infected in Leithanien, the team finally brought Ceobe back to the vessel. Along the way, Ceobe, who had always kept her distance from civilization, was slightly wary of communicating with others. However, after coming to Rhodes Island, she began to gain a new understanding of the people who had bested her - eat well, drink well, sleep well, and beat up bad people. Coincidentally, these are all things that she likes to do, so upon an Operator's recommendation, she joined Rhodes Island without hesitation.

Archive File 2

Increase Trust to 100.
Ceobe felt confused - or rather, was mystified by the new world she was able to step into. With the exception of the few familiar faces she had met before, there were far too many people waiting to make her acquaintance. Of course, her priority is not so much becoming acquainted with people, but rather becoming acquainted with food. In the place where everyone gathers to eat, there is a certain door. On the other side is a world of countless edibles, waiting for her to sample. She's not particularly subtle in her efforts to sneak in, resulting in a high probability of being found and shown the way out. However, that doesn't seem to deter her - at least until she's tasted the contents of all the bottles and cans there.
In light of the fact that Ceobe is still learning about the norms of civilized life, everyone privately agreed to not punish her when she gets caught, and some people even took the opportunity to feed Ceobe some strange things. Though these people usually fall under one of three categories - the experimenters, the kind-hearted, and those who just wanted to make fun of her, Ceobe generally only has two words to say about the things she eats: 'Yummy,' or 'Good.' No one can coax any other words out of Ceobe - naturally, the experimenters can't get the kind of data they're looking for, the kind-hearted pretty much all get the same few responses, and those who try to make fun of Ceobe are undertaking a self-defeating task. Over time, the number of people casually trying to feed Ceobe decreased as well.
Although she has indulged in many foods of all shapes and sizes since coming to Rhodes Island, if asked to pick out the food she loved the most, she would choose honey biscuits. As a matter of fact, honey biscuits are the only thing that she seems to be picky with - currently, she only accepts biscuits baked by Lava, Vulcan, and Matterhorn. She won't touch even a single crumb of the biscuits baked by anyone else - even by the logistics chief.
Summary: She won't eat, but she absolutely can eat just about everything. She loves honey biscuits. If the day comes where she's in the mood to eat the entirety of Rhodes Island, she'll likely do just that.

Ceobe made many good friends after arriving at Rhodes Island, but the greatest, mightiest, and most reliable person of all in her eyes is the Doctor. Though the Doctor looks a lot weaker than her, she finds the Doctor to be much smarter than even Vulcan, capable of explaining concepts that seem utterly inconceivable to her in just a few simple words so that she can understand the gist of things. When being briefed on missions, she couldn't wrap her head around things like tactical simulations, but the Doctor had a brilliant idea - by giving her simple, concrete commands such as 'stand here,' 'attack this,' or 'fight until I arrive,' she was able to complete her missions. As a result, Ceobe was able to save some brain cells, and the Doctor entered the ranks of the few people who Ceobe would completely set her weapons down around.
Other than the Doctor, the person who Ceobe respects the most is Vulcan.

Archive File 4

Increase Trust to 200.
Ceobe's very first weapon was an axe with her name engraved upon it. Her curiosity led her to seek the meaning behind the axe, so she stopped to ask a question to the first person she could find - and thus began her life of wandering. Along the way, when she got hungry, she ate wild fruits. When she was thirsty, she drank water from the rivers. Her journeys took her away from most of civilization. Because she didn't have the ability to discern areas that were contaminated with Originium, Ceobe quickly contracted Oripathy, and what she described as 'black crystals' started to appear across some parts of her body. At first, these growths were a source of fear for her, but as she continued to wander, she began to see the power that these crystals had brought her - her weapons had grown stronger. Ceobe's fears were soon replaced with a strong desire to obtain more weapons, an uncontrollable impulse that often drove her to resort to violence to satisfy. Though she tried to suppress these impulses and use peaceful methods to obtain weapons, the outcomes would often differ greatly from her expectations. Sometimes she would rescue others, sometimes she would injure them; Some would reward her with weapons for completing tasks for them, some would use weapons to try to lure her, while others would gift them to her with no strings attached. In any case, her journey took her far to the east, where a well-intentioned person told her that she had taken the wrong way. With her large collection of weapons and tales in tow, she turned around and returned west. Her journey finally came to an end when she attacked a Rhodes Island squad led by Fang while trying to obtain food.
While Ceobe lacked the qualifications to become an Operator, the HR Department finally gave her an opportunity to take the Operator evaluation exam upon Vulcan's recommendation. She had no expectation of becoming an Operator, nor did she know what such a job entailed, but she still demonstrated a great desire to become one. After becoming a fully-fledged member in Rhodes Island, her daily routine of eating, drinking, and fighting, combined with medical treatment of her Oripathy, also alleviated her strange fixation upon collecting weapons. She has grown accustomed to her comfortable lifestyle, and hopes that her time her can last forever if possible...
As long as someone can unlock the secret of her axe.

Promotion Record

Upgrade to Elite LV2.
Ceobe's advanced infection has given her the ability to enchant her weapons. Because the enchanting process requires a suitable weapon to serve as a carrier, each enchantment will instinctively 'choose' its own weapon and then, in accordance with the quality of the weapon, the enchantment will confer a different Originium Arts characteristic, such as flames, rocks, or ice. In the past, this ability was a subconscious process that she could not control, and therefore she didn't give much thought into it. Now, under the tutelage of Rhodes Island Operators, she is working hard to understand her unique skill: though she may never be able to master the fundamentals of Originium Arts through studying, she must learn enough to operate her skills on a basic level, which would be enough to help her achieve a baseline level of identification and control and strengthen her abilities all around. Today, Rhodes Island has developed a comprehensive learning plan for Ceobe, and as long as she is willing to sit down in a classroom and begin working on her literacy, we have reason to believe that she can become an excellent Arts user in the future.

Description:
Today Kay and Vulcan and also a lady with a metal box are gonna beat up bad guys together!
Vulcan said Kay's the main character today, yeah!
I wanna charge 'em and hit 'em, but Vulcan says staying back a bit and using really heavy spears to get rid of 'em is better.
So I guess I'll listen to Vulcan for now.
Okay, that's pretty much it, I understand everything! Now we all just wait for the bad guys to show up!
