A new play is being prepared in Celaiblason. We've already chosen the main lead.

I believe he will be an integral supporting character in the play.

Shalem is a 5★ Arts Protector Defender (former Archetype name Arts DPS Defender) that deals multi-larget Arts damage and lowers enemy RES. He's the first Operator announced to have a Talent specifically for Integrated Strategies.

Skill 2: Lose a certain percentage of Max HP every second and expand Attack Range. Attacks change into multiple strikes with reduced ATK, targeting random enemies within Attack Range

First Impressions

Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details. 

Shalem will be the next 5★ Arts Protector Defender, and is the first Operator announced to have a Talent specifically for Integrated Strategies (IS).  This Archetype is a pretty good one for IS mode, as the combination of high block counts, decent damage, and the ability to deal Physical or Arts damage can be more useful than the more standard specialized archetypes, especially in the early stages. The IS specific Talent plays directly into these hybrid strengths, increasing his ATK and ASPD.

His second, universally applicable Talent, has a chance to reduce enemy RES on attack.  This could increase his damage during Skill use, and also give him a debuffing role to help teammates and increase his value on the field outside of his own blocking/damage/mitigation.  How good this Talent is will depend on the details: application chance, duration, and magnitude.

Like most of the Skills of the other Operators in his Archetype, his Skills focus on damage output.  S1 turns him into an Arts Damage AoE Guard, reducing his attack interval, increasing his Max HP, and hitting multiple enemies equal to his block count.  This skill looks similar to Dur-nar's S2, which was a good Skill for IS1, especially early-run.  

Shalem's S2 causes him to lose HP over time, but in return gains faster multi-attacks that target random enemies in an increased Attack Range.  This skill is tough to gauge without the details.  Whether the HP loss is worth the extended attack range, and whether it is a stronger choice than S1 seems like it will depend a lot on the situation and what the DPS comparison of the skills end up being.

在你的社交圈中,可曾有那么一个人?当你某天回过神来时,才发现他已出现在了你的生活中,你们并没有多少交流,你甚至想不起来第一次与他见面时的场景。但在某些领域中,他是你最可靠的顾问,你提出问题,他便会为你解答,可当你想把他拉入自己的社交圈时,他又从你手中悄然滑开,躲到了交际边缘的阴影里。曾几何时,暮落正是这样一个“朋友”,工作上兢兢业业,待人上谦逊柔和,乐于用自己的艺术造诣为他人解惑,但与此同时,他婉言谢绝所有善意,与所有人都保持距离。考虑到罗德岛干员们来自大地的各个角落,种族、性格、经历也千差万别,的确有许多人不擅长交际却有着一颗善良的心,因此对于暮落的生活状态,人事部门的干员并没有放在心上。其实,暮落本人也期望以这种状态生活到自己生命的终点,他的过去实在不堪回忆,而时断时续的幻梦也警醒着他噩梦尚在人间,因此他刻意回避与他人的关系,希望厄运降临时不要给他人添麻烦。他一直在等待,等待自己这一篇章的终结,但他没有料到,在十几个月后,当自己早已熟悉在罗德岛的生活时,过往的黑影悄然而至。

在一次外勤任务结束后,暮落发现了身后的幻影。他是剧团那一批孩子中最闪亮的新星,剧团长的爱徒,猩红的血钻,他盯上自己,自然不是为了叙旧。为了躲过那抹幻影,暮落离开队伍,独自一人在荒野中逃亡,而黑影在他背后穷追不舍。暮落躲入城市,易容,换装,从当地的罗德岛办事处曲折返回罗德岛。他自以为骗过了幻影,然而在回到宿舍后,却发现它追上了罗德岛,开始在这座钢铁巨物里游荡。
相识的干员告诉他,有位叫作傀影的干员在几日前加入了罗德岛。傀影是谁?暮落心中自然一清二楚。
从此,他开始尽力收缩自己的活动范围,如若没有必要,他决不踏出宿舍半步。剧团的幽魂还在罗德岛上游荡,一旦遇上,他便没有活路,就这样,暮落在罗德岛上消失了许久......
当在终端上接到搜寻失踪干员傀影的任务时,暮落还以为有人给自己开了个玩笑,但在多方核实后,他发现,傀影的确离开了罗德岛,而任务目标上的搜索地域,没有人比暮落更熟悉。
那是他和傀影的家乡,也是他们噩梦的开端。
过往已经找上了暮落,而他已经无法再次选择置身事外了。
暮落接下了搜索傀影的任务。

在暮落的记忆里,除了那场淹没村庄的大洪水,和人们缩在屋顶上挣扎求生的丑态外,早已没了半点对故乡的回忆。
唯有剧团,只余剧团。
当洪水退去,一些雍容华贵的来客进入村子,一边拨款请人在当地救灾,一边则仔细甄选,收养了许多父母双亡或失散而无人认领的孩童,年幼的暮落也是其中之一。
当暮落和一大帮孩子第一次看到剧团的帐篷,被管家亲切地带入宿舍,接过这位老者手中的面包,听闻他亲切的问询时,心里满是对未来的期望。
“你们是艺术的孩子,现在请好好休息吧。”
老管家如此许诺,暮落如此想象着。
随后,他的生活便成了一出戏。
谦逊温和是剧团赋予暮落的标签,从此之后,这便是他的“真实性格”。
日常的体能训练与台词演练自不必说,像傀影那样优秀的预备演员,将会被拥上舞台,在众人眼前获得言语激励和物质奖赏。当然,不符合剧团要求的孩子,也会遭受相应的贬斥。
每个人都想成为舞台上被众人拥戴的主演,而非被当众训斥的失败者,就这样,所有人肩上都多了一副无形的重担。
这种重负并非每个孩子都能承受的,即使没有营养和睡眠上的忧虑,还是有些人体力不支倒在舞台上,抑或是被角色所困,再也没恢复过来。
当初一起进入剧团的孩子们一个个消失,而留下来的人,性情也完全改变,看不到半点当年的纯真。
随着年龄增长,暮落也说服自己接受了一个真相:
我们是为了将生命奉献给艺术才被带入剧团的,如果无法表演......
就没有在剧团里生活的资格。
无论自愿与否,只要进入剧团,便会被安排上早已写就的剧本。
直至生命的终点。
......
在自己的幻梦中,暮落同父母一起观赏了流浪剧团的演出,演出内容是一场绝无仅有的大洪水,洪水淹没了一切,只余几位生者在高山上苟延残喘。生存将所有人逼上绝境,本应合作渡过难关的他们开始互相残杀,最终,无人幸免,只余下几块无人吃下的肉片被羽兽叼走,向着无垠的洪水振翅飞去。
