Battle Royale Game with MECH'S - Super Mecha Champions Launches Today

There's a new battle royale game and it comes with some pretty intuitive controls, cool weapons, and... well... giant exploding machines.

And if you're like me and excited to see what the new Gundam game is like on mobile, Super Mecha Champions will get you through the wait. Because, well, it's pretty awesome.

Netease is no new player to the mobile game scene, and generally they produce pretty cool and expansive worlds, but creating a battle royale game with intuitive controls that is easy for a newcomer to play can be a challenge. And as a new player (I've maybe tried PUBG twice) I was interested to see how easy or hard this particular title would be.

And what I found was -- everything explodes and it's very satisfying.

Check out the trailer below to see some gameplay shots and see what I mean.

Like many battle royale games, you enter a slowly shrinking stage (a cityscape for me) with cool anime-style artwork, and you begin your battle on foot.

Roaming around the city you'll find 99 other players gathering weapons and items and you can engage in some shootouts on foot. But there's a foreboding bar at the bottom of your screen that slowly increases to 100% as you gather items, shoot and kill enemies, and once it hits 100% -- you can unlock your mech.

It seems to be a clever mechanism to get people moving immediately in the game and looking for those early kills while the map is much wider. As the game gets later, those who hadn't found opponents or faced off in combat ended up at a disadvantage as they couldn't unlock their mech's and had to face off against rocket launchers and sheer tons of steel on foot.

Then again, standing in your mech isn't exactly covert.

Overall, the gameplay is exactly what I was hoping for in a battle royale style game like this, and it's definitely worth a download for players of all skill levels. Download it today on iOS or Android using the links below and try it for yourself!
