Dawn of Isles - A New Survival MMO Drops on Android in 2 Hours

There's a new mobile MMO Survival type game coming to town, already released on iOS but dropping on android in about two hours from the posting of this article -- and it looks awesome.

While many of these sandbox-style MMO survival games can be a bit overwhelming at first, Dawn of Isles looks like a really interesting addition to the space. For one, the game is graphically far more like a classic Zelda game, with a bit of the realistic cartoon feel to everything around you. But Dawn of Isles is so much more.

One of the harder things you run into with worldbuilding MMO games like this is the feeling of playing in a world that is active and alive around you. Dawn of Isles does this really really well. And it does it well without being too overwhelming.

Rather than tagging every single item you can interact with via a text description, you see items sort of flash from bottom to top to indicate they are usable. Not only that, but the NPC's, the animals you find, the monsters are all constantly in motion. Even the grass moves and gets chopped down (hello Zelda) when you swing your weapon.

But what was also fascinating about this game was how much it felt both like a classic survival game (with you having a home island similar to Durango Wildlands) and being able to visit others home islands, but also you get to drop yourself into almost World of Warcraft style regions to do battle with enemies.

The game really is an interesting fusion of MMO-style games with Zelda style graphics and enemies and bosses.

Overall, we're really intrigued at Dawn of Isles and excited to see what this new game will bring to players!
