EX Kid Goten BLU works similar to his SP variant. He’s a Melee Fighter whose performance only improves with the addition of a Trunks variant Teammate.

Everything about this Fighter’s toolkit helps him excel at what he does best: Strike Attack. From his held Strike Arts Cards to every Ability he owns, he continuously builds his Strike Damage output as the Match goes on.


Optimized For Melee

EX Kid Goten BLU is a Melee Fighter whose primary role is Damage dealing. He holds two Strike Arts Cards and has a multitude of ways to Buff his Strike Attack via his Main Ability, first Unique Ability, and Extra Move.

Special Move Drawing Main Ability

Drawing Cards via Main Abilities has and always will be a powerful tempo play, and that’s no different here. This Main Ability not only increases his Strike Attack for a decent stretch of time but also gives him a Strike Card to boot--allowing him to put tremendous pressure on the Enemy Fighter.


Conflicting Abilities

EX Kid Goten BLU has two Unique Abilities, but both have requirements. The first one needs a second Kid Fighter to Buff Strike Attack, and the second requires a Trunks variant for Ki Recovery.

While it isn’t that hard to kill two birds with one stone by Teaming him up with SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL or EX Kid Trunks BLU, only the second option would benefit from his Z-Ability and both are Ranged Fighters meaning that EX Kid Goten BLU wouldn't have many Strike Arts Cards available in the deck. As it is, there are very few Blue Hybrid Saiyans and EX Kid Goten BLU is the only one strong in Strike.

Putting EX Kid Goten BLU in a PVP competitive Team that fully benefits from his Z-Ability means sacrificing one or both of his Unique Abilities, but satisfying both Unique Ability requirements mean his Z-Ability goes unused.


While his Defenses are just average, he suffers from a very low Health stat, and as such, can find himself in trouble pretty quickly.

Team Synergy

Hybrid Saiyan Kids

Even if his Z-Ability doesn’t help the Tag, EX Kid Goten BLU brings a lot to the table through his Self-buffing and Enemy debuff. For this Tag, it would be best to Team him up with SP SSJ Kid Trunks YEL and SP Kid Gohan YEL. Both have Tagged Z-Abilities, Blue and Yellow Fighters pair well together, and their held Arts Cards balance out.

Blue Color-Counter

Under the right circumstances, this Team would fulfill both Unique requirements and include a second Blue Melee Fighter to Synergize with EX Kid Goten BLU. SP Super Saiyan Gotenks PUR is still an excellent choice for off-color Fighter with SP SSJ Goku BLU filling the second Melee slot. This Build also has mostly balanced Arts Cards, with SP SSJ Gotenks PUR starting the match and SP SSJ Goku BLU finishing it.
