Captain of the Ginyu Force, SP Captain Ginyu GRN is still relevant on Frieza Force. He
He was the first Fighter in the game to hold an Extra Arts Card—an interesting choice as far as Team building goes as it can make for some nifty and continuous Debuffing opportunities.
It’s important to note that this Fighter receives an upgraded Z-Ability at 5 stars, giving the Frieza Force some Strike Attack while still Buffing Ginyu Force Health.
Held Extra Arts Cards
This Fighter gets often paired with Fighters having awesome Extra Moves, so him providing an additional Extra card to Frieza Force’s deck is a great thing
This Fighter’s Unique Abilities considerably Buff his Damage output, especially in the first stages of a Match. Also, his Main Ability provides him of a quite unique Move that inflicts great Damage and some additional Attribute Downgrades on hit.
Despite his overall Durability not being particularly low yet, he’s an easy prey for the powerful PurpleFighters in the current Meta.
While he has a great Z-Ability on paper, its Health Buff is only good for SP Captain Ginyu GRN on Frieza Force Team Builds, and considering he’s unlikely to see the field with SP Golden Frieza GRN’s presence on the Team, that Effect goes to waste.
He also Boosts Strike Attack for Frieza Force, however that’s also problematic, because the Team is completely Blast-centric at the moment.
He’s strictly an alternative option, for both the bench and the Core. His Z-Ability is normally great, but considering the weaknesses previously stated, and the amount of great Z-Abilities this Team has, SP Captain Ginyu GRN gets entirely cut off the Team.
The Captain himself was fairly Defensive stat-wise after his Balance Change, and while he isn't the Tank he once was, this Equip still does a good job of making him fairly durable. It's one of the better Defensive Equips in the game.
