Overview

As a callback to Dragon Ball: Wrath of the Dragon, SP Saiyaman 1 PUR does a few things really well.

However, he requires a very specific Team Build to reach his max potential, and that Build doesn’t have many Teammate options.

It’s hard to say how long he will stay viable without the release of more Fighters to Synergize with.

Strengths

High Damage Output

With the right Team, SP Saiyaman 1 PUR gains up to 90% in Damage Buffs. He can also draw a Special Move Arts Card with his Main Ability (which also increases the chance of the next Special Move to inflict Faint by 35%).

Meta Counter

Many Teams rely on Enemy Debuffs to maintain a lead. SP Saiyaman 1 PUR can nullify attribute downgrades three times, causing the Enemy Team to lose their advantage over him.

Weaknesses

Limited Synergy

Similar to SP Saiyaman 2 RED, this Fighter works really well in the right Team, but that ideal Team doesn’t have a lot of variations.

One-Dimensional

Between Synergy and how focused his Damage output is on Blast, SP Saiyaman 1 PUR isn’t very flexible in Combat. He doesn’t offer a lot of Team Support beyond dealing Damage, which puts more pressure on the Support and Defense of the Team to compensate.

Team Synergy

Transforming Warrior Purple Color-Counter

This Team does the most to make SP Saiyaman 1 PUR’s strengths shine. One especially good Build is SP Saiyaman 1 PUR, SP Saiyaman 2 RED, and either SP SSJ Broly PUR or SP Super Janemba PUR.

SP Super Janemba PUR is a Transforming Warrior so he gives SP Saiyaman 1 PUR the extra Damage Buff, but his own Damage output is pretty low. SP SSJ Broly PUR wouldn’t give him the Damage Buff, but their Z-Abilities really Synergize for a collective gain.
