The mortal stronger than the gods, SP Jiren GRN, makes his first appearance in Dragon Ball Legends and looks to shake up the meta-game. Jiren excels in strike damage and has one of the best abilities in the game - nullifying all cover changes twice for 15 counts upon entering battle. 

Defensively, he tanks his first combo received very well however after that his durability starts to suffer.

Strengths

Pure Power

SP Jiren GRN boasts some of the best strike damage in the game. This, coupled with his blast armor makes him incredibly oppressive in neutral. He has 90% Damage Inflicted when he enters the battlefield and it goes up to 140% in a last man standing situation.

 His main ability also gives him card draw speed so he’ll be able to dish out long combos.

Can't Cover Change Jiren

As mentioned before, SP Jiren GRN possesses the ability to nullify every cover change in the game. This is a very oppressive ability because no matter what you try to do, you’re going to have to take a full combo from Jiren which is going to be devastating.

The Arts That Does It All

SP Jiren’s Special Arts does it all, literally. It gives him 4 new cards,50 Ki, restores his vanish, gives him 20% strike damage inflicted, and locks opponents in for 5 counts. It really is one of the best Special Arts in the entire game and can be used to turn the tide of battle.

Weaknesses

Can't Take Combos Well

As mentioned before, SP Jiren GRN takes his first combo very well but after that, he starts to lose his defensive capabilities and becomes fairly fragile.

Team Synergy

Rival Universe

It goes without saying that Jiren’s best team is Rival Universe. Jiren is the primary damage dealer on this team and he synergizes incredibly well with the other pride troopers ( SP Toppo BLU and SP Dyspo RED ).

Restores own health by 20% and Ki by 40.
+30% to Strike damage inflicted for 30 timer counts.
Increases own Arts Card Draw Speed by 1 level for 30 timer counts.

Unique Ability

Applies the following effects to self when this character enters the battlefield:

+50% to damage inflicted (cannot be stacked).
+70% to Ki Recovery (cannot be stacked).
Gain Buff Effect "Nullifies enemy's special actions that activate when changing cover" for 15 timer counts (activates twice).

Additional +50% to damage inflicted if there is one battle member (cannot be cancelled).

Gradually restores own heath each timer count for 20 timer counts when this character is switched to standby.

Robust Body

Applies the following effects to self when battle starts:

+40% to damage inflicted (cannot be cancelled).
Reduces damage received by 20% (cannot be cancelled).
Reduces next damage sustained by 50%. This applies until enemy combo is finished.

Knocks enemy back to long range if a cover change is performed against their Strike Arts attack (activates during assists).
