Legends Battle Royal Team Guide

Overview

In this Article the best Teams for the current Legends Battle Royale will be analyzed. Take note that here the Teams aren't ordered by Effectiveness like for the Tier Lists.

The Best Teams

Lineage of Evil

Core
Bench

Lineage of Evil is surely a contender for the spot of the best Team in the current Battle Royale. They have quite a few things that make them so good, but mainly the fact they counter Saiyan so well is the best one. In fact, both their color wheel -- SP Coora PUR is arguably their best Fighter and SP FF Frieza RED is the perfect bodyguard for him against Saiyans -- and their Anti-Saiyan Unique Abilities make them an absolute matchup nightmare for both God Ki and Fusion Warrior, that are some of the most popular Teams at the moment.

Generally though, some of the Lineage of Evil Fighters are just flat out very hard to kill. It’s important to note that while Stars equalization should bring balance between all Fighters, it benefits Transforming Fighters more since the increased stats get multiplied by the Transformation Boost, ending up having a more impactful increase compared to non-Transforming Fighters. For this reason, SP Coora PUR is an absolute hellish Fighter, since his Defensive Stats when transformed are abnormally high and his whole toolkit speaks trouble. Combine that with the full Team diversity this Team has, the very high Z-Ability Bonus Value, and you’ve got a Build that can be both an incredibly effective Meta counter and a very solid Team in general.

God Ki

Core
Bench

God Ki is surely one of the best Teams for this Event, however compared to other Teams they see a smaller Boost, considering some of its Core Fighters are already frequently at High Star Level in normal Ranked Matches -- namely SP SSB Goku BLU and SP SSB Vegeta PUR --.

The biggest plus here is having SP SSB Vegeta GRN at stars equalized with the rest of the Meta. The prideful “Prince of Saiyans” arguably has the best toolkit in the Game but like all LF Fighters he’s a bit disadvantaged Stats wise compared to USTS/Legends Rising ones considering he’s harder to pull in general.

All things considered, God Ki is normally one of the most balanced and solid Teams out there, and these factors translate to this competition as well. If you have him, you could replace SP SSB Goku YEL with EX Zamasu GRN considering the latter has one of the best possible Z-Abilities for the Tag, but you may prefer to stick with the former since he fits well in the matchup against Sagas Warriors.

1
+19% to "Element: GRN" base Blast Attack during battle.
2
+22% to "Element: GRN" or "Tag: God Ki" base Blast Attack during battle.
3
+25% to "Element: GRN" or "Tag: God Ki" base Strike & Blast Attack during battle.
4
+30% to "Element: GRN" or "Tag: God Ki" base Strike & Blast Attack during battle.

Sagas Warriors

Core
Bench

Sagas Warriors are not the best Z-Abilities wise, and if you normally main this Team PvP you’re likely to have its main Z-Abilities at a decent level considering how old some of the Fighters are -- SP SSJ Broly PUR, SP SSJ Broly GRN, EX Coora BLU, SP Boujack PUR and others --. However, they still see a decent Boost as SP SSJ Youth Gohan YEL can be unleashed at full potential just like SP Coora PUR. The former and SP FP Boujack PUR make a hellish couple due to how their gimmicks can basically nullify the Opponents’ attempt at hurting your Health.

Their biggest defect is the lack of a Health Z-Ability. This is relevant because at maximum Star Level the % increase from Health Z-Abilities will result in a higher increase than normal and Sagas Warriors are one of the few Teams in this list that can’t benefit from that. However, their practicality makes them a very tough opponent for everybody nonetheless, so beware.

It should be noted that SP Coora PUR becomes a fitting replacement for SP FP Boujack PUR now more than ever in this competition, both for things stated in the Lineage of Evil section and for the fact that he’s able to Buff Sagas Warriors Z-Ability wise at this Star Level.

Fusion Warrior

Core
Bench

Oh boy, prepare yourself to be shocked if you face Fusion Warriors in this competition, because their Health amount will be extraordinarily high. They get the Health Boost from SP Super Vegito PUR’s 7*+ Z-Ability and you might as well add SP SSJ3 Gotenks YEL and EX Raditz BLU to further increase the Boost. At that point, to balance out things your best bet is to add a general Defense/Offense Z-Ability rather than putting in SP Super #17 GRN, because Fusion Warrior’s best bet in this competition is to maximize the main Core’s potential.

Both SP Angry Goku BLU and SP Nappa PUR are fine as Bench Characters, with the latter being more common of course. Note that SP Angry Goku BLU is only meant as a Z-Ability Boost here, because SP Gogeta BLU has much higher synergy on this Team.

This Line-up can compete quite well with both God Ki and Sagas Warriors, while it struggles with Lineage of Evil due to general lack of Damage and proper Color options to take down their heavy hitters.

1
+19% to "Tag: Saiyan" base Strike Attack during battle.
2
+22% to "Tag: Saiyan" base Strike Attack during battle.
3
+26% to "Tag: Saiyan" base Strike Attack & Defense during battle.
4
+28% to "Tag: Saiyan" base Strike Attack & Defense during battle.

Frieza Force

Core
Bench

Just like Lineage of Evil, they are a great Meta counter thanks to SP FF Frieza RED, however the lack of SP Coora PUR is worth noting. Still, their Ginyu Force Fighters unlock their maximum Z-Ability, which sets this Team up to have one of the highest Ability Bonus Values in the Event.

Overall, the Team revolves around how well SP Golden Frieza GRN, SP FP Frieza YEL and SP FF Frieza RED can matchup against God Ki mainly.

Most importantly, they are a very powerful yet cheap option, since most of its Fighters have been easy to get in the past few months, and if you lack SP FF Frieza RED, SP Ginyu Goku RED is a decent replacement.

Sleeper Picks

Saiyan

Core
Bench

Saiyan places here as a worse version of Fusion Warriors basically. While their roster could look more diverse and overall more powerful than the Fusion Warrior Build listed above, they’re much worse Z-Ability wise and that makes them not as ideal. Specifically, while SP Super Vegito PUR and SP Vegito RED are on steroids, SP Angry Goku-SP SSJ3 Goku GRN-SP Bardock YEL see the short end of the stick since they only get four Z-Abilities Boost.

However, your chances in this competition are still good if you pick Saiyan, as they’re a Team with a high skill ceiling and many options available, just beware of Lineage of Evil/Frieza Force Teams because they love this matchup.

Son Family

Core
Bench

Son Family has been declining in the past few months due to the lack of fitting releases and the shortage of good Z-Abilities, but they can shine in this Event nonetheless. Boasting three LF Fighters, they see the biggest Stats gain between all Teams compared to normal Ranked Matches, thus they bump up in relevancy compared to their normal state in the Meta. As you can see, the bench is mostly based on Defensive Z-Abilities and that’s a must, since this Team would crumble easily when hit otherwise.

Something that could catch the eye is SP SSJ Youth Gohan YEL’s absence. The reasoning is that he wouldn’t fit as well as others Offensively in the Core, as he relies on Strike Cards while the rest of the Team is Blast Card Based.

All in all, Son Family isn’t at the same level as the Teams listed above, but they’re still a good pick.
