Legends Battle Royale EXTREME Team Guide

Overview

Since the 1 Year Anniversary, PVP has been wrought with Vegito variants and God-powered Saiyans, so when the second Legends Battle Royale was announced, this time limited to Fighters of Extreme rarity, it became clear that not only would an entirely new Meta surface, but that this tournament series would be ever changing.

Unlike the first Battle Royale, no level or star adjustments will be made. Extreme rarity Fighters have proven to be more likely to possess stronger Z-Abilities, so this choice could be seen as a disappointment. In actuality, not much is lost by this, and any player; new, free, veteran, or paid, can effectively compete in this Battle Royale.

How does an Extreme Meta look without the oppression of Fusion Warrior and God Ki fighting at the top? What Teams could be made, and more importantly, what Tags are likely to have the edge?

Female Warrior

Core
Bench

Bleed, Poison, Paralyze, this Team spreads Conditions like it’s going out of style, and then constantly boosts both Offenses through EX Mai PUR switching or EX Pan: Honey RED’s Energize Unique Ability. EX Youth Bulma YEL is the powerhouse of the squad, being able to self-Buff her own Blast Damage by +80% for 20 timer counts just by switching in.

EX Videl PUR is this Team's best Defensive option and is the preferred Team Member for Strike-centered Female Warrior builds. Her double Strike Arts Cards clashes with EX Youth Bulma YEL's Blast Damage output, but her added Defensive utility and self-Buffs make EX Videl PUR a ferocious Fighter worthy of her father's Championship belt.

This Team's fragility needs to be taken into account, as they lack a good Defensive Fighter outside of EX Videl PUR, but her self-Buffs, EX Mai PUR's Team Buffs, and the myriad of Abnormal Conditions inflicted by EX Pan: Honey RED makes for a devilishly Offensive EX Team.

Android

Core
Bench

By far the highest Team Bonus available, Androids have never been short of Team Synergy, as this bench is even used for Sparking levels of play. The twins, EX Android #17 GRN and EX Android #18 PUR, hail from the Future where they never joined our heroes -- opting to murder them instead -- are also no strangers to Sparking battles. Both Fighters find their way on the Top Android Team, and have the stats and kits to back up that claim, capable of high stats in both Offenses and the highest Defenses available for an EX Team.

The glaring weakness of this Team is it’s pacifist third member, the gentle giant EX Android #16 YEL. While not a bad Fighter per se, he cannot be relied on to finish a match on his own or get himself out of tough jams without the help of his Teammates. Although his support is much appreciated, passing on Damage boosts to Gero’s other creations through both his Extra Card and his Defeated Unique Ability.

Frieza Force

Core
Bench

Full of ruthless Anti-Tag Abilities, this Team plays much like it’s Sparking variant in that it counters specific threats very well. In this case, EX 3F Frieza PUR’s Anti-Regeneration and EX 1F Frieza BLU’s Anti-Saiyan Unique Abilities. It should be noted that the Regeneration Tag is also capable of quite the competitive EX Team.

Although another aspect shared with it’s Sparking form, every Fighter wants to stand alone. EX Vegeta YEL has the highest claim to this, as his Crisis Ability allows him to finish matches against other EX Fighters, but still every Fighter on the core has selfish Z-Abilities and kits that make individual Fighters the sole counter to their preferred opponent.
