Submit Feedback or Error

Overview

The new Update brought in a lot of new Fighters, upgrading quite a few Tags. The Legends Rising Vol.8 is the main event, however the Ginyu Force: Sizzling Summer Boot Camp event is not to be underestimated either, as it brings five new F2P Fighters that might prove to be quite valuable in the future.

Effects on the Meta

Hybrid Saiyan

SP Teen Trunks PUR is a very nice addition for this Team. In fact, Hybrid Saiyan always had a lot of great Fighters, however the majority of them are to this day either Strike or Blast reliant, so in the past it was hard to make them coexist in the same Team. SP Teen Trunks PUR fixes this problem by bringing a massive 35 % Damage Boost to the whole Team, on top of being beastly by himself.

This opens up a lot of interesting Team Builds for Hybrid Saiyan, which consequently become a much more consistent and powerful Tag.

Android

Androids have constantly been on the rise in the past few updates, and SP Android #13 BLU follows that trend by further increasing this Team’s raw Damage output, and also by bringing some much needed diversity. In fact, not having a Blue Fighter was a huge deal for Androids, since the strongest Tanks in this Meta are Red, and the lack of a way to counter those made the Team a bit harmless.

Overall, SP Android #13 BLU is a perfect addition, and he also fits quite well in regards to the Team’s deck.

Vegeta Family

While SP Teen Trunks PUR fits extremely well in this Team, another Purple Fighter is not quite what this Team needed, since SP SSB Vegeta PUR is a top tier Fighter that already covers that spot.

Having said that, choosing to bring SP Teen Trunks PUR -- as opposed to using SP SSB Vegeta PUR -- means having more consistent Damage output as a whole. In fact, just like for Hybrid Saiyan, SP Teen Trunks PUR makes the Team more balanced and consistent thanks to his Team Boost, and he brings a Blast card that makes the Team’s deck less predictable.

Frieza Force

Thanks to the new Ginyu Force Fighters, this Team gets a big synergy Boost and some valuable hand to hand Fighters as well. The highlights are EX Guldo GRN bringing in a much needed Health Z-Ability, EX Ginyu PUR being a quite good Fighter overall, and the other three having good Z-Abilities and being decent alternatives for the Core. However, as of right now those new Ginyu Force Fighters are only farmable up to 3*, which hinders their current viability.

Ginyu Force

This new Team is very unique, as it is the very first viable F2P Team in the game. While it’s not possible to use them at full potential yet, as they’re only farmable up to 3*, they’re still decent thanks to their Unique Abilities blending together perfectly. Also, this is one of the few Teams that has access to two Health Z-Alities.

The only question is if they’ll still be relevant once the game will grant us the chance to farm their Z-Souls further.

Sagas Warriors

SP Teen Trunks PUR replaces the elderly SP SSJ Broly PUR on the Team, thanks to his considerably greater Damage output and his Team Support that helps quite a bit considering this Tag had fallen off from grace as a whole. Overall, Sagas Warriors come out considerably strengthened from this update, as they have a few Fighters that can greatly benefit from SP Teen Trunks PUR’s presence.

Should You Pull?

While this new Banner affects a lot of Tags, and it also features the mighty SP Golden Frieza GRN, it’s also true that 4% of the SP pull rate is filled by outdated Fighters, so the odds are against you if you’re hoping to considerably strengthen your roster through this Banner. The advice here is to pull only if you’re interested by all of the good SP Fighters in the Banner, otherwise it’s probably better to wait for a more convincing Summon Event.
