Overview

Boujack Unbound, a Dragonball Z movie of relative obscurity, has certainly made an impact in Dragon Ball Legends. Ultra Space-Time Rush #16 introduced two Meta challenging Fighters from this movie, able to work together or independently as Team captains on two powerful Tags, throwing both Sagas Warriors and Hybrid Saiyans into the arena.

SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL and SP Full Power Boujack PUR both have outstanding kits with the former specializing in single target elimination and the latter bringing with him a treasure chest of useful abilities. Both Fighters have Special Arts Cards that can reverse a Combo loop and chain into other Arts Cards, making both Fighters commanders of the battlefield.

Sagas Warriors has multiple viable Team builds outside of the Top Sagas Warriors Team including a variant that borrows from Vegeta Family as both SP Teen Trunks PUR and SP Vegeta BLU share a Sagas Warriors Tag with SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL, and SP Teen Trunks PUR’s switch supports both Vegeta Family and Hybrid Saiyans. If EX Legendary Super Saiyan Broly YEL is available, a powerful Yellow Color Counter with SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL and EX Zangya BLU is a surprisingly well-rounded trio with a similar type of switch Support. All in all, Sagas Warriors has multiple Core options, access to red-lining Offensive Z-Abilities and synergy with other powerful Teams.

Hybrid Saiyans have historically shifted between Blast or Strike tuned Fighters, providing unique options for their secondary Tags, but often struggle to work together as a Team. The release of SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL allowed SP Super Saiyan Teen Gohan BLU to shift out of his awkward pairing with Blast focused Fighters and form a more harmonized union with SP Teen Trunks PUR, who has already proven to be a perfect partner for SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL. While this is a solid Core, the Tag’s overall scattered Z-Abilities leave impressive looking Damage Buffs at less than their full potential.

Hybrid Saiyans still have their reigning champion, SP Super Saiyan 2 Gohan Youth RED, and he is a problem for the strong Yellow Fighters on Sagas Warriors, including opposing SP Super Saiyan Gohan Youth YEL.

EX Zangya BLU is the best option for Sagas Warriors to battle SP Super Saiyan 2 Gohan Youth RED, and she brings Boujack with her. SP Boujack YEL is an older version with an Anti-Super Saiyan Ability, EX Boujack GRN who provides Damage Buffs through switching, and SP FP Boujack PUR who does both. EX LSSJ Broly YEL specializes in defeating Hybrid Saiyans as well, making quick work of SP Teen Trunks PUR but must stay away from SP Super Saiyan 2 Gohan Youth RED, especially later in the match.

The bottom line is while both Teams have many solid options with rotating Cores, Sagas Warriors unique utility and Anti-Tag Abilities deserve the victory in this matchup.
