Overview
The new Update brought only new Fighter, namely SP Yardrat SSJ Goku RED. He’s a Legends Road Fighter, which is something that speaks for itself since usually these kind of Fighters are not particularly relevant in PVP other than being serviceable bench options thanks to their Z-Abilities. Does SP SSJ Goku RED break this habit? This article will try to give an answer to that.
Effects on the Meta
Super Saiyan
While it’s out of question that SP SSJ Goku RED can’t beat his competition for a spot on the main Core of this Team, he can be seen as a good Fighter to put on the bench to be used when needed, since his Z-Ability Buffs Super Saiyans and he’s a decent Offensive Fighter with a potentially quite good Defensive Unique Ability.
Saiyan
Compared to the Super Saiyan Team, his synergy is a bit lower here, and he faces much harder competition regarding Fighters that have his same color. He can be used, but he’s not to be seen as an optimal choice by any means.
Red Color Counter
He can be good in this team thanks to the Son Family synergy he finds here. In particular, he synergizes greatly with SP SSJ2 Gohan RED, since the latter benefits greatly from any Goku variant dying.
Overall
While SP SSJ Goku RED can be useful in some Teams, he’s doesn’t particularly affect the Saiyan heavy Meta, since he can’t hope to crack in none of the previously listed Teams’ Cores outsids of Red Color Counter’s.
