Overview
Nail enters the fray with an incredible ATK & DEF stack mechanic that allows Nail to stand toe to toe with some of Dokkan’s toughest foes. While Nail may have some restrictive conditions before unlocking his full potential, this Card is far from situational as Nail can deal incredible Damage and tank hits the longer the fight goes on.
Nail is not a Card to sleep on and can prove to be a powerful asset for players wanting to beef up their Namekians or Planet Namek Saga Teams.
Strengths
Nail is a surprising Card thanks to his Super ATK that stacks both ATK & DEF, on top of a 100% ATK & DEF Buff at the start of a battle. This Card becomes a ruthless fighter when ran alongside a Piccolo Card, gaining an additional 100% ATK & DEF Buff, as well as the ability to reduce up to 77% of Damage Received, the lower Player HP.
Likewise, Nail’s duty to protect Namek fuels the Passive Skill ability that provides him with an additional Super ATK, that will deal critical Damage, when fighting against a Wicked Bloodline Enemy. In short, under the right circumstances, Nail becomes quite the powerhouse.
Nail is a Namekians category leader and a much-needed addition for the category with great ATK and DEF stats.
Weaknesses
Nail’s ATK & DEF stack are fantastic, but to maximize Nail’s potential players needs a Piccolo ally, which is not a big issue considering the Teams this Card can be ran on. On a Planet Namek Saga Team Nail can definitely hit hard without Piccolo, but don’t expect all of his Link Skills to pair incredibly well with non-Piccolo allies.
While Nail is an incredible Card his biggest weakness is the lack of categories he belongs to, which limits his application outside of his category Teams. Nail’s Link Skills “Shocking Speed” and “Fierce Battle” are great, but his other Link Skills like “Cold Judgement” and “Experienced Fighters” make this Card built to be ran alongside a Piccolo or Namekian ally.
On top of restrictive Link Skills, a point of concern is Nail’s second Link Skill being “Supreme Warrior”, which rarely going to see any use and means Nail has only 1 viable Ki Link.
Synergy
With only two categories to his name, not a lot of guessing is needed to decide what Teams this Card can be on. Players might have a better time running this Nail in a Team where either Pinnacle of Fury - Goku or Kami and Demon King United - Piccolo are leaders because it gives Nail some flexibility to be alongside better support Cards outside of the Namekians category.
While Namekians has been growing as a category it still is not the best category around, so running Nail in more flexible Teams can propel him to some incredible heights. Even with this Card’s restrictive Passive Skill Buffs, Nail is going to tank some serious Damage and hit hard.
