Overview
Android #18 is a great F2P option that all players should put some time aside to farm for and bring along with them. This Card is another F2P Leader for Androids, and stacks ATK & DEF alongside gaining pretty significant Buffs when on the same Team as an Android #18 (Future) Card.
The issues players might face with this Card are its stat limitations as a F2P Card, and some issues outside certain Teams that do not have an Android #18 (Future) ally. However, these issues are not too difficult to overcome, especially with the new Destructive Android - Android #18, and should not deter anyone from this Card.
Strengths
Android #17 is a welcomed F2P Card that acts as a leader for the Androids Category. This Card becomes the second free leader, and quite a solid pick for F2P players.
Android #17 is a great F2P Card that can stack ATK & DEF, as well as a 70% ATK & DEF from the start of the battle. While Android #17 is not going to be the game’s best tank his ATK & DEF ability makes him a great option for F2P players looking to take on longer events, with stronger allies.
Android #17 is best paired with an Android #18 (Future) Card because on the same rotation this gives Android #18 a 25% chance to perform a critical hit and an additional 70% ATK & DEF Buff. Against a Hybrid Saiyans Enemy this Card gains an additional Super ATK. Players should take advantage of pairing this Card with a proper Android #17 Card, which is easy to do with Cards like Lethal Android - Android #17 (Future).
Weaknesses
While this Card has access to some powerful ATK & DEF potential thanks to the stack mechanic, be aware this will take some time to build-up, and Android #17’s weakest stat is, unfortunately, his DEF stat. This Card needs to build up ample ATK & DEF to avoid being a liability on much tougher events. Not a tough hurdle to overcome, but one players should be aware of and plan for.
This Card is built to be ran alongside Androids allies considering Android #17’s Link Skills pair mostly with Androids, and players will notice that Android #18 (Future) Cards are the best partner for this Card. Without additional Buffs players miss out on some significant DEF Buffs.
Does this make this Card situational? Not necessarily, but alongside non-Android allies or Extreme Class Allies, this Card may have some difficulty synergizing with a Team.
Synergy
Android #17 is best suited alongside Extreme Class allies, but more importantly Androids Category Allies due to his Link Skills. Outside of an Androids Team this Card has the Ki Links “Dismal Future” and “Shattering the Limit”, as well as the ATK Links “Brutal Beatdown” and “Nightmare.” So thankfully this Card has some flexibility.
No matter the Team a player decides to run this Card on, they should pair this Card alongside an Android #18 (Future) Card to maximize this Card’s potential.
