Overview
Janemba is the Dokkan version of an archetypical bruiser. He tanks Damage, and dishes out even more. Pre-EZA or post-EZA, he’s a very simple and effective Card to use and will be a great addition for any Team he fits in, be it Extreme, INT, or Category based.
Strengths
Janemba’s signature Passive Skill allows him to guard against all Attacks, meaning he takes less Damage regardless of Enemy type. This combined with his high DEF and a 25% chance to evade any Attacks allows him to tank very effectively in every situation.
Post-EZA, on top of getting +70% ATK at the start of the turn, he also gains +40% after blocking a hit, this is calculated separately for a huge Boost of +138% ATK.
Between his Links, Janemba has no problem giving and getting extra ATK to and from other staple Extreme Cards, making for a powerful all-round Card.
Weaknesses
Janemba has very few categories he can join, which greatly limits his potential as a flexible tank.
Perhaps it’s because he is not a talkative guy, but Janemba’s Leader Skill isn’t great. It does the minimum if you’re desperate for an INT leader, but there are many better alternatives.
Synergy
His main Team, Transformation Boost, lets him Link with some great partners like Perfect Cell, Super Buu, Android 21, Goku Black, Full Power Coora, and Kid Buu. In Movie Bosses, Janemba does great with Full Power Coora Cards, okay with Frieza and other Cooras, Slugs, but tends to Link poorly with Saiyans.
Janemba is reliable to use in any Game Modes, being especially effective in short Stages since he doesn’t need any build-up.

Hidden Potential
Type ATK Boost |
Slightly raises ATK when AGL attacks STR, STR attacks PHY, PHY attacks INT, INT attacks TEQ, or TEQ attacks AGL. It works for both Super and Extreme Types. The effect increases along with the skill level. |
