Overview

After a brief teaser within the Dragalia Life comics, Mercury joins her two of her fellow Greatwyrms as Humanoid Mercury (HuMerc for short). Much like Mym and HuMid, HuMerc packs some powerful damage stemming from her shapeshift-oriented kit. Additionally, HuMerc is one of few strength amp users in the game, a scaling support mechanic that is sought after for Dominion endgame quests. As a dragon-centric adventurer, HuMerc fills the DPS role well, but her strength amp support capabilities will require help from compatible allies.

Strengths

Powerful Shapeshift Kit 

Akin to other Humanoid dragon adventurers, HuMerc likes to shapeshift often, enjoying an increased Dragon Damage modifier while also enhancing her Skill 2: Aquatic Rain. Skill 1 both inflicts Frostbite and fills the dragon gauge, hitting like a truck if HuMerc has a team strength amp. 

Defensive Utility 

When protected by a team strength amp, HuMerc is effectively immune to any Flame-related afflictions (as well as Bog). Bubble Shield grants a hefty one-use shield and regen healing, giving HuMerc pilots considerable room for error.

Weaknesses

Lack of Strength Amp Support 

Much of HuMerc’s kit requires her to have a team strength amp active. Due to the stacking nature of STR amp buffs and Skill 2’s sizable SP cost, HuMerc can’t offer much support on her own. Until the Water amp roster expands, HuMerc’s full potential remains to be seen.

Dragon Recommendations

Gala Reborn Poseidon is the prime choice for raw damage, although HuMerc loses out on its powerful active skill. 

Gaibhne & Creidhne grants the highest skill uptime and are ideal for stacking STR amps. 

Gabriel synergizes perfectly with Bubble Shield, granting a good deal of survivability.

Waterwyrm's Nature I

Reduces susceptibility to bog by 100%. When shapeshifting for the first time, the user will transform into Mercury regardless of what dragon they are equipped with. The second time onwards, they will transform into High Mercury instead.

Bubble Shield I

Grants the user the "Sphere of Protection" effect when they have a team strength amp. Sphere of Protection gradually recovers the user's HP, and grants a one-use shield that nullifies damage up to 20% of the user's maximum HP. This shield can stack with ordinary shields. Sphere of Protection will not stack, its effects are lost upon taking damage or if the user no longer has a team strength amp, and, after Sphere of Protection has been lost, this ability will not activate again for 10 seconds.
