Overview

Midgardsormr saw all the fun Gala Mym’s been having in her human form and decided to join the roster as Humanoid Midgardsormr (henceforth known as HuMid). HuMid is easily the strongest free event unit released to date, with a powerful shapeshift-focused kit backed by Stormlash. In fact, almost every piece of HuMid’s kit is concerned with getting to dragon form then going to town. Even as the Stormlash-capable wind roster grows, HuMid will continue to serve as a powerful enabler that offers strong shapeshift DPS at the same time.

Strengths

High Shapeshift Uptime

With uptime second only to Dragonyule Xainfried, HuMid also enjoys additional dragon form damage. Between innate Dragon Haste, Shapeshift Prep, and Skill 1 dragon gauge filling, HuMid can frequently duck into dragon form for extra burst and survivability.

Stormlash Enabler

Although limited to his Skill 2, HuMid’s Stormlash has decent uptime and puts in work when enabling Sweet Surprise loadouts.

Weaknesses

Restricted Shapeshift Form

HuMid is locked into Midgardsormr regardless of the equipped dragon, meaning he’s unable to make use of the wind dragon roster’s powerful active skills.

Selfish

Aside from Stormlash, HuMid’s kit doesn’t do much for the team. Within the endgame Ciella meta, other top tier wind adventurers distinguish themselves with dispels or fast Overdrive breaks. In comparison, HuMid doesn’t offer much utility aside from raw damage.

Dragon Recommendations

Gala Reborn Zephyr remains the prime option for pure damage, even without its powerful active skill.

Midgardsormr Zero is the next best option, because what’s better than equipping HuMid with himself?

Vayu is a reliable pick that gives HuMid more burst potential.

Weapon Recommendations

Budget Option: Stellar Pegasus

Wyrmprint Recommendations

Pair 1

Double Punisher loadout. If lacking Poison support, Entwined Flames can fill Slot 5 for Dragon’s Boon (3).

The Red Impulse may be swapped with An Ancient Oath.
