Overview
At long last, the Wind Staff pool receives some new blood in the form of Wedding Xania. Sporting both burst and sustained healing, the Magical Bride makes a name for herself by braving perils of Water Imperial Onslaught while still remaining a viable High Mercury pick. Although she needs full HP to reach her full potential, Xania establishes her case for replacing longtime favorite Lowen as preferred Wind healer.
Strengths
Burst and Regen Healing
Xania grants both immediate healing and reprieve from chip damage sustained from lesser enemies, making her ideal for maintaining %HP thresholds.
Anti-Freeze Kit
Xania purges Freeze from allies while remaining Freeze-immune herself. These attributes trivialize Water IO’s hazards and allow reliable use of Freeze-susceptible teammates.
Weaknesses
Competes with Lowen
When compared to her rival, Xania has both higher SP costs and less Skill Prep. Although her heals are more potent, she must remain in perfect health, whereas Lowen’s Recovery Potency is unconditional and thus more reliable.
No Targeted Healing
Xania’s two heals aren’t designed to cover for a single injured ally, thus requiring her to “waste” her Skills on healthy teammates.
Dragon Recommendations
- Frejya is clearly superior to Garuda where healing is concerned, supplying a massive Skill Haste boost and an additional healing Skill. Stribog and Sylvia are budget alternatives that also focus solely on healing.
- High Midgardsormr provides a hybrid approach with a balance between HP and STR that encourages both healing efficiency and light DPS.
- Zephyr or Roc are pure Strength picks that should be considered for High Mercury's Trial, since DPS is more highly valued than healing in that instance.
