Overview
Joachim joins the Wind roster as Dragalia’s third Poison-focused Bow user. Unlike his two predecessors, the Hidden Hunter has the means to both maintain and capitalize on his affliction. Featuring a doublecast mechanic à la Fleur/Rena, Joachim stands as the herald of a new Poison meta and a strong reason for allies to consider picking up extra copies of The Plaguebringer.
Strengths
Excellent Utility
Last Resort’s increased Poison rate from Skill Shift helps to counteract bosses’ resistance buildup overtime. Doublecasting Skill Shifts serves to rapidly cycle through and provide team support as well.Â
Burst and Chip Damage
Joachim contributes by firing off two quick Last Resorts and through consistent damage-over-time, all of which are enhanced by Poisoned Punisher.Â
Weaknesses
HP GatedÂ
While 70% is fairly lenient, sloppy positioning will cost Joachim a fair chunk of STR.
Dragon Recommendations
Vayu remains the prime choice due to Joachim’s Skill 1 doublecasting.
AC-011 Garland is a strong choice for those confident in their positioning.
Pazuzu naturally meshes well with Joachim’s kit.Â
