Overview
Ramona combines two key assets of Dragalia’s varying Axe users: staying power and offensive presence. Although not as burst-oriented, Ramona runs Primed Strength with a self-proc-able Strength Doublebuff and is rarely sitting at her base Strength level. She’s also surprisingly mobile for an Axe user, and is one of the few characters in the game who can change directions over the course of their Skill animation.
Strengths
Self-SufficientÂ
Primed Strength and Strength Doublebuff are tied to Skill 1 and Skill 2 respectively, ensuring that Ramona’s power boosts are staggered for more consistent overall damage. Longevity is not sacrificed like with Vanessa, as Smith Shield’s substantial DEF buff meshes well with a defensive Co-Ability.Â
Good MobilityÂ
Although Ezelith can slightly alter her course, she is still largely locked within Howling Meteor’s animation. With six extra hits, Ramona is granted a higher degree of freedom to reposition if she finds herself in a bad spot.Â
Weaknesses
Lack of Offensive UtilityÂ
Devoid of Crit, status, or DEF reduction, Ramona’s kit consists entirely of vanilla damage.
Dragon Recommendations
- Gala Mars: You thought it would be someone else, but it was me, Mars, the entire time!
- Cerberus / Agni are interchangeable as both provide 40/60% STR, although Cerberus’ active Skill gives her an edge.Â
- Arctos synergizes well with Axes’ higher base Crit Rate. Â
- Ifrit is both capable and accessible and is the strongest alternative to the usual 5★ picks.Â
- Pele / Brunhilda are viable budget options if the above aren’t available.
Weapon Recommendations
Agito weapons are usually best for Flame Adventurers, followed by HDT weapons (though in some circumstances HDT2 weapons can be superior). Chimera tech weapons are what you bring when you're on a budget, or just getting started on the endgame.Â
