Overview
Sylas is a Wind Lance user and the featured 5★ of Visions of Amity. Although the Adept Aromatherapist has languished in mediocrity since his release, recent patches have been quite fortuitous. With Poison, upgraded utility through Mana Spirals and an excellent chain Co-ability, Sylas has become a staple on Ciella teams for his infrequent, yet invaluable teamwide cleanse. Â
Strengths
Juggernaut
Sylas packs more offense than expected of a support unit, namely Poison, a 20% STR buff, and a 13% STR boost for staying healthy. In terms of hardiness, Sylas enjoys Lances’ long reach, DEF/HP buffs, Last Recovery, and a 10% enemy STR reduction.
Teamwide Cleanse
Sylas is the first adventurer to purge all afflictions from his team and is vitally necessary during Ciella runs. Â
Weaknesses
HP Gated
Failing to stay healthy greatly diminishes Sylas’s damage output, although Last Recovery helps a bit in this regard.
Unpredictable Skill 2
Similarly to Sinoa's Custom Concoction, Sylas's Inspiring Scent has RNG-based buffs. Although buffed overall, "occasionally" cleansing powerful debuffs is less consistent than is preferable, which may necessitate double Sylas Ciella teams.Â
Dragon Recommendations
Vayu reigns supreme for its massive Skill Damage boost.
Ariel sacrifices some DPS for higher support uptime.Â
Pazuzu meshes well with Sylas's Poison.Â
Roc is an accessible yet functional option, providing 30/45% STR.
