Overview
Zhu Bajie debuts as Light’s first berserker-style adventurer, dishing out top tier damage with a blinking red health bar. Players who own Hunter Berserker may recognize this playstyle: charge Force Strikes from a safe position, then reap the rewards. Although the Light roster currently lacks support for this playstyle, Grace and Macho Charge’s healing prevention will help preserve Zhu Bajie’s ideal HP threshold.
Strengths
High-Risk, High-RewardÂ
If left untouched, Zhu Bajie can output ridiculous chunks of damage. Self-maintaining HP thresholds and Resilient Offense ramping means he’ll only get stronger as fights drag on.
Weaknesses
SluggishÂ
Macho Charge’s shield is one-use, meaning multiple enemies or multi-hit attacks will easily punch through. Axe users already suffer from low mobility, and standing still to charge in place leaves Zhu Bajie incredibly vulnerable.Â
Awkward AfflictionsÂ
High Zodiark can only be stunned once, so Bursting Fury won’t have much utility in endgame content. Furthermore, Zhu Bajie needs Paralysis support to empower his Force Strikes yet doesn’t run Paralysis himself.  Â
Dragon Recommendations
Corsaint Phoenix is the ideal pick, assuming allied Paralysis support.
Cupid is a solid raw STR pick, although his active skill will mess with HP thresholds.
Takemikazuchi offers great damage during Overdrive.
Lindworm is a functional budget option.
