How does Eleonora poison works?

I'm puzzled by the "when hp- is full you get a 40% higher chance of inflicting poison" does she have poison on her level 2 charged atack or is it something you get from a certain bow ?

Both of her skills apply poison, what I understand is that she gets extra chance to inflict poison on this abilities, and I would guess this works towards ignoring status resistances of the enemies to some extent. I can't be sure as I don't have her trained to try her out, but in theory that should be it.

From my experience( very little experience) it means that her skills (both upgraded to lvl 2 version) will have a higher chance of inflicting poison, though the skills does state "inflicts without fail", so maybe the 50% chance will be for her normal attacks.

From our research so far:

The only times an adventurer can inflict a status effect is when using a skill that either does it built-in or provides it as a 'buff' for other actions done (Like for Hawk and Nefaria, their Force Strikes are buffed to inflict the status effects).

All enemies have a resistance to status effects ranging from 0% and 200%. Some bosses will have 100% or higher resist. When you use a skill with a chance to 'inflict X without fail", it usually means they have a 100% base chance to inflict the status ailment. With some units, their chance improves when at HP thresholds.

So in total, an adventurer may have a 150% chance to inflict something when at 100% HP (Eleonora with poison is like this), but the boss they're targeting might have 100% resist. In this case, you actually have a total 50% chance of inflicting the status effect.

The information in-game doesn't really show this information off, but that's why we're here!

Hope that explanation helps.

Wow, this is really detailed. Thank you so much! I hope that Eleonora's review can cover this topic just as detailed. I really want to promote her, but as a f2p I have to be smart with my eldwater
