Resources Guide

Resources Guide

Introduction

There are many different resource types in Dragalia Lost, each with their own purpose. It can be tough to keep track of everything, especially for newer players who aren’t used to juggling all of the game’s mechanics. This guide will outline what resources are in the game, where to find them, and what they’re used for. There are three types of resources: Funds, Materials, and Treasure.

To check your current resource types, tap More in the bottom right corner, and then Items. This will show you the totals for each resource type. To see where some resources can be gathered from, tap and hold on the resource icon, then select How to Acquire.

Funds

Funds

Rupies

Rupies are the most common resource in the game but are required in large numbers. They are needed for upgrades in the Castle, and used in weapon crafting and enhancement. They can also be used to purchase upgrade materials from the Shop every day.

Any time you complete a battle, an amount of Rupies are awarded. Defeating enemies, smashing boxes and opening chests will increase the amount of Rupies earned from completing a level. Rupies are also earned passively from Rupie Mines at a constant, but slow rate.

The best place to get Rupies is the Avenue to Fortune event maps. These maps award thousands of Rupies per clear and can be beaten very easily without needing to co-op. The first two completions of this map per day grant a large amount of Rupies as a bonus.

Mana

Mana is a resource used in Mana Circles, making it very important for boosting the Might and overall power of Adventurers. Like Rupies, Mana is primarily acquired through playing normally. For new players, there are numerous quests that grant many thousands of Mana for completion. However, these quests can only be completed once.

Mana can also be received from Dragons in the Dragon’s Roost, from the Item Summon, or as a reward from Peregrine Blazons in Raid events. Defeating a Rare monster will also give a few hundred Mana.

Eldwater

Eldwater is difficult to obtain, but arguably the most valuable of all funds. It is used to promote Adventurers to higher star rarities, and to unlock Co-ability upgrades within an Adventurer’s Mana Circles. Eldwater is obtained whenever a duplicate Adventurer is summoned, a Wyrmprint is sold, and is a reward for daily endeavours. Large one-time Eldwater rewards can be obtained by competing Campaign Chapters on Hard Mode.

Materials

Materials

Orbs

Orbs are one of the most commonly used materials in Dragalia Lost. They come in five different elements, and at three different rarities.

Flame, Water, Wind, Light and Shadow Orbs have a bronze background and are the most common types of Orb. They are required for upgrading buildings in the Castle such as Elemental Altars, the Halidom, and Rupie Mines. They are used when crafting 3* elemental weapons, and when unlocking an Adventurer’s Mana Circles. Large amounts of Tier 1 Orbs are needed to progress through the game.

Blaze, Stream, Storm, Radiance and Nightfall Orbs have a silver background and drop uncommonly. They are required for elemental weapon crafting, Medium-level building upgrades, and Mana Circle unlocks.

Inferno, Deluge, Maelstrom, Refulgence and Nether Orbs have a gold background and drop rarely. They are used for Mana Circles and High-level building upgrades. The Rainbow Orb also has a gold background, and it is the rarest kind of Orb. It is used for Mana Circle upgrades.

Orbs are obtained from completing story and event maps of the corresponding element. The best way to obtain them is through the Elemental Ruins event maps. These maps are easy to clear and offer substantial Orb rewards. The higher the difficulty, the more higher-tier Orbs will be rewarded for completion. Raid Battles also offer decent Orb rewards.

Crystals

These are items used to level up Adventurers. There are three types: Bronze, Silver and Gold, each giving more experience than the last.

However since adventurers can also gain experience from completing maps, Crystals aren’t required in the same way as other upgrade materials. They can be obtained from the Avenue to Power event maps. It’s a good idea to complete them at least twice per day to pick up the daily completion bonuses.

Dragonfruit

These are items used to level up Dragons. Three types exist-- Dragonfruit, Ripe Dragonfruit, and Succulent Dragonfruit. Each type gives more experience than the last. They are an important item and are required in large numbers to level up Dragons. Dragonfruit can be obtained by clearing the Dragon Trials, harvesting a Dragontree in the Castle, or giving gifts to Dragons in the Dragon’s Roost.

Whetstones

Whetstones are used to level up weapons. There are three types, offering increasing EXP: Bronze, Silver and Gold Whetstones. It’s also possible to use weapons to level other weapons and due to limited space, it’s usually preferred to use throwaway weapons as upgrade tools over Whetstones. They are found in large quantities while completing the Imperial Onslaught maps.

Magic Water

Magic Water is an item used to upgrade Wyrmprints. Holy, Blessed and Consecrated Water all grant increasing amounts of experience. Magic Water is the rarest of all upgrade materials, but they can be bought from the Shop daily or obtained as an endeavor reward.

Weapon Crafting Materials

These materials are used to craft and enhance weapons. Each weapon has a set of materials it exclusively needs to be crafted and upgraded. Check out our Materials Farming Guide for information detailing which materials each weapon needs, and where they can be farmed.

Treasures

Treasures

Dragon Spheres

Dragon Spheres are treasures that can be traded for more copies of the Dragons featured in the story: Midgardsormr, Mercury, Brynhilda, Jupiter, and Zodiark. This, in turn, allows the dragons to be unbound, powering them up. After four copies have been traded, the trade cost increases and includes Dragon Scales.

Dragon Spheres are obtainable at all difficulties of the Dragon Trials. Each of the Beginner difficulty maps awards x10 of the relevant Dragon Sphere as a first time completion award.

Wyrm Scales

These are used to upgrade a character’s Mana Circles and are rewards for completing the Dragon Trials. The scales come in five different elements and have a regular and special version. Regular scales can be collected in Standard and above difficulties, while special scales are rewards for completing the Expert and Master difficulties.

Dyrenell Coins

These coins are used to buy and upgrade Dojos, making them an important currency. There are three types of coin: Dyrenell Aes, Dyrenell Argenteus and Dyrenell Aureus, each being rarer than the last.

These coins can be collected on the Imperial Onslaught event maps. Dyrenell Aes and Dyrenell Argenteus can be collected on every difficulty, while Dyrenell Aureus can only be collected on Expert or higher. Large numbers of Dyrenell coins are needed to upgrade Dojos

Insignia

Insignia are used to enhance weapons and can be exchanged for Wyrmprints in the Shop. They come in all five elements and have a regular and special version for a grand total of ten different types.

Regular Insignia are used for crafting 4* elemental weapons and can be exchanged for Greatwyrm Wyrmprints in the Shop. These Wyrmprints give outstanding defensive bonuses when fighting in the Dragon Trials.

Special Insignia are used to craft 5* weapons and are used in the Shop to buy Wyrmprints needed for fighting in the Advanced Dragon Trials. Currently, only High Midgardsormr can have his Wyrmprint bought and be battled.
