1A suit of armor, black as midnight, purported to have been wrought from calamity itself. A frightful aegis said to grant power in exchange for corruption. Yet hunters still don these items in search of glory.
2Claws of midnight clutching their arms. A fearsome gaze raking them over. Are these hallucinations that grip the hunter in dire situations, or could they be a curse of the armor itself?
3As the line between sanity and madness blurs, a midnight shadow steals into the depths of their heart. And yet the hunter raises their sword that they might bring down their prey and receive glory.
4Drawing on the armor's power, they unleash a fierce attack. The prey collapses amidst a frightful roar, and the hunt comes to an end. Hunter and allies alike roar in triumph, feeling naught but a lingering thrill.
5After the hunt, the shadow steals over them once more: a vision of a black dragon, the bringer of calamity. The hunter walks on in search of new prey, that they might feel joy and forget the creeping midnight.
