Builds

Walk Quickly and Carry a Big Stick

This build passes up maximizing the high, yet somewhat gimmicky power of Lilias’ S3 in exchange for greatly increased speed and a plentiful number of assists. Lilias’ S1, ‘Follow Me! Charge!’ is a unique skill, since it unconditionally triggers an assist from a random ally. The added value and damage of Lilias’ constant assists adds up over time, if you can stomach their random nature. As long as you somewhat build the team around her, it’s like rigging the slot machine in your favor - you’ll always get a good outcome!

Do note that, due to the separate nature of the initial attack/assist, SS Bellona will generate two stacks of her passive each time you attack and call an assist.

This build is therefore strongest when used with teammates who have strong S1’s - usually some type of debuff-inflicting S1, such as SS Bellona (Target), any 2-turn 50% DEF Break, any 2-turn 50% ATK Breaker, an S1 CR booster, like Schuri or Yuna, or even someone with a Focus-stacking mechanic, like regular Bellona.

Team

Core

This team provides a balance of everything that you need: DEF Break, ATK/SPD Buffs, ATK Down, and plenty of damage via Rosa Hargana, which results in permanently boosted damage for Lilias' S3.

Every assist called on this example team has a highly beneficial effect, whether by charging Bellona's gauge, boosting teamwide CR, or inflicting ATK break on the target. This is an example of a versatile team that can deal with most content.

Firing Squad

This build relies heavily on teammates to provide a useable Attack value, as Lilias’ own ATK is poor. It is recommended that you bring Gunther for his passive ATK bonus or a Ranger with high ATK and Rosa Hargana (since that will also boost their attack). Lilias can then ‘borrow’ their attack and use her critical modifier to do bonus damage (especially in Gunther’s case).

Of course, you also have to consider the opportunity cost of using Gunther or another slow, ATK-heavy hero, and whether you can boost everyone up or suffer debuffs from the opposing team.

Team

Core

This team maximizes the damage potential of Lilias’ S3, “Ready, Load, Fire!” by utilizing a strong critical damage bonus to inflict the maximum amount of damage possible. It sacrifices all of your speed and is focused on destroying the opposing team in 1 hit, making it a form of cleave. It is also required that your teammate be alive and unimpaired by the ATK- debuff, making the durable, high-ATK Gunther a cheap primary teammate.

Watcher Schuri is there to tankbust and provide the Speed imprint, and Yuna provides a high-value ATK buff, though any other ATK buffer/CR booster will do.

Analysis

Overview

Lilias is a speedy yet damaging tank who takes the word ‘teamwork’ to a whole different level. She comes with a guaranteed random ally assist on her S1 and a damaging AoE that scales with the highest ATK on the team. In addition, her AoE is also a full-team cleanse, enemy CR knockback, and massive self-CR boost.

Strengths

Guaranteed Assist on Damaging S1

Lilias guarantees an assist from a random ally on her team with every basic attack, in addition to dealing a good amount of damage. This is about as overloaded as an S1 can get, kids. Best used with allies who have strong effects on their own assists.

S3 Scales with Highest Ally ATK

Lilias’ S3 notably does nothing with her own ATK value (unless she’s alone), dealing .9x ally ATK damage in an AoE. Even better, her S3 fully cleanses the team, decreases enemy CR by 25%, and boosts her own CR by 50%. This all comes on a relatively short 4-turn cooldown at maximum investment (you can think of it as 3.5 turns due to her self-boost).

Tanky DPS

Lilias is a new standard for tanky DPS, being able to build fully into SPD/HP and then critical damage. S1 has good damage scaling, dealing 12% of her very high mHP (8th highest HP) and .8x her ATK (passable). In comparison, her ratio beats out Ken, Tywin, Krau, F. Ceci/Ceci, and almost every other HP scaling tank on basic, and heck, even some S2/S3’s.

S2 Has Ignore Effect Resistance on Soulburn

Lilias does no damage on her S2, making it bypass accuracy checks and factor straight against enemy resistance, so she can uniquely taunt Ice enemies as a Fire hero. If you can afford to give up the damage on her S1, you can keep an important supporter locked down fairly well.

Weaknesses

Weak to Meta Ice Heroes

While her S2 can be decent at locking down supportive Ice enemies, she still suffers from misses against important targets like SS Bellona and Dizzy, making her CR knockback on them unreliable. In addition, both S1/S3 generate significant gauge charge for SS Bellona’s passive, so be careful when attacking her.

Provoke Only Passable in PvE

Provoke is a fairly weak mechanic in PvE. Most of the important targets cannot be provoked. In addition, it can often feel like a wasted turn on auto.
