Flash Fire

SB Ara in PvP tends to be a first-turn stunner/nuker. By running Cursed Compass, she can inflict a nice amount of damage and not have to worry about her EFF%, or she can use Tagehel’s Ancient Book to contribute a large amount of starting Souls to your primary damage dealer. Iela Violin gets honorable mention, but is not seriously considered since it strips immunity only after the attack (her stun won’t go through). If you somehow lack a strip unit, however, you may consider it.

No matter what Artifact she runs, she is still a strong threat, as a full-team or even half-team Stun often spells victory, and Burn ensures that she has some damage going into future turns as well.

This build can also be transferred to PvE as well. Due to her decent starting Speed, SB Ara gets lots of mileage from her constant S1 -> S2 combos. However, she may lack the damage to kill enemies with her follow-up S2 when running a Speed set, denying her the ability to farm easily.

Basar/Hurado/Romann are all suitable partners, but as with many PvP units, Hurado is probably the best stripper, given his Speed, turn disruption, and Dark element.

She can work with any CR booster, including Judith, SCRoozid, and Aux. Lots.

Supernova

This version of SB Ara has access to two separate builds, which depend on the artifact she is using. Kal’Adra, which is quite possibly the strongest damage artifact in the game, makes SB Ara a very strong damage dealer on bosses, and guarantees extra damage on her follow-ups with S2.

The Rage set, despite being good elsewhere, is not recommended when using this artifact, since it suffers from diminishing returns when using Kal’Adra. Instead, I recommend that you use the ATK set to maximize her burn damage, since it scales off of her raw ATK value.

If you choose to use Time Matter instead, SB Ara is a very good fodder-farming unit. Since Time Matter will boost her damage to significant levels, I recommend the Destruction set over Rage, especially since she is unlikely to have debuffs on all enemies.

Core

Since Burn relies heavily on the ATK stat, SB Ara appreciates a good Attack buffer. Burn damage is ‘snapshotted’ (all damage depends on the hero’s attack value at the time the debuff is inflicted, as well as partial enemy DEF), so it is not necessary to have absolutely flawless attack buff uptime or DEF break uptime.

Still, she appreciates those buffs to make her damage more consistent.

Like any Hero with the ability to stack debuffs, she is also a good partner for Sigret, who can exploit those debuffs. She can also fit into a combo-style team with Taranor Guard, since her passive S1 -> S2 damage/CR gain will be given many chances to shine.

Example teams:

Team 1: Bellona, Sigret, Tamarinne

Team 2: TG, Rin, Schuri

Analysis

Overview

Supplanting General Purrgis’ former best 2-man guaranteed Stun with her own full-team stun on Meteor Fall (S3), Silver Blade Aramintha (SB Ara) is a fearsome PvP hero but also a potent PvE DPS. Her kit lacks nothing except for buffs; she has access to utility in a teamwide stun on a 4-turn cooldown, high AoE damage with burns, high single-target DPS with a small AoE guaranteed, and CR boosts for herself.

Strengths

Full Team Stun

SB Ara’s primary claim to fame is her Meteor Fall (S3). As if it didn’t already look impressive it is the only 100% guaranteed AoE stun in the game. If this wasn’t enough, it packs a 50% chance to apply up to 3 stacks of Burning, a powerful source of damage-over-time that partially ignores defense. In addition, because SB Ara is a Light Hero, she doesn’t need to worry at all about missing the opposite element. This makes her one of the most solid picks in PVP.

Burn Synergy

SB Ara can inflict up to three stacks of Burn with her S3, and has a 75% chance to Burn an enemy for one turn every time she uses Flame Friction (S1). She also procs her Flame Release (S2) even on burns that other heroes inflicted.

Fast Turn Cycling/Fodder Farming

In addition to her already good base Speed, SB Ara gains 30% CR whenever she performs a follow-up attack on a burned target. This can proc off of any Burn, including the 1-turn Burn from her S1.

Weaknesses

Squishy

SB Ara is somewhat squishy with only ~4,500 HP. She will need to be actively protected/healed by other teammates.

Burn/Debuff Immunity

Some bosses pack cleanse mechanics which will prevent SB Ara’s kit from performing optimally. Without burn, she loses almost half of her damage potential, as she is no longer able to gain CR or do above-average damage.

S1 Burn Only Lasts 1 Turn

Some bosses additionally require debuffs on them to fulfill certain conditions. For example, even if she lands the S1 burn against Wyvern, it will not count as a debuff going into the Wyvern’s turn, since it does the damage and falls off immediately at the beginning of the turn. This also means that SB Ara must have some decent Effectiveness in order to keep the constant CR bonus from her follow-up attacks.
