Builds

Raid Boss Killer

Since Kiris is suppose to be a budget option for early game players to knock down hard to beat PvE bosses, let's build her to maximize her effectiveness in doing so.

Gear Build

Since speed is the most important stat and cannot be capped, it should be the most focused stat when building Kiris. Effectiveness can be stopped at 55% in PvE content since bosses have a 15% guaranteed resist chance and most bosses have 70% res, making 55% effectiveness the magic number. After that, we want to have as much HP as possible so Kiris can surive, making her durability a strong point over traditional DPS in these types of content.

Artifacts

Sword of Judgement is the go to artifact for Kiris since when it does proc, it has a high chance to grant her another poison stack, which helps a lot in stacking some bosses with poison. For players who do not have, Rainbow Scale or an artifact that can consistently help players land more poison stacks like Rosa Hargana will do the trick.

Skill Ups

Kiris needs no skill ups to work in abyss, since she is a budget unit, she doesn't need skill ups ever. But since 3 heroes don't use molagoras and players find themself in excess of stigma and the right catalysts, they can invest in her up to all the utility breakpoints, which is 3/3/2, which can help increase consistency by quite a bit.

Guardian*

When using Kiris in Abyss, the go to guardian becomes Kromcruz. The reason being Kiris combo can be timed perfectly with him, going: S3->S1->S2->Kromcruz->S3->S1->S2, resulting in a massive amount of poison stacks, usually enough to kill if her artifact activates a few times in between.

Team

Core

This would be the ideal team to climb abyss for players who have the hero but no gears for those heroes yet.

Angelica can protect the team. Tamarinne can supplement heal + CR push. Dizzy can stop bosses from hurting your team too badly and extend the poison on them, creating more stacks. All of these units have about a 2 turn cooldown window of vulnerability that can be mitigated by Kromcruz, making them a good combination together.

When looking for replacements for such units:

Angelica: Destina, Crimson Armin, Crozet, Rose, Armin, or any frontline carrying Aurius
Tamarinne: Angelic Montmorancy, Aither or any healer with Wonderous Potion Vial
Dizzy: Lidica, Rima, Basar, or any debuff/cooldown support

Analysis

Overview

Kiris is a 3 Earth Ranger that is often hailed as the queen of the Abyss.

Since most of her kit revolves around her landing poison and poison scales with enemy max HP %, she is the ideal DPS for newer players to take into abyss before they have high end DPS gear.

Kiris' kit is built and should be augmented around the fact that she can land multiple stacks of poison and landing poison, making her very potent in PvE content with only investment into SPD, HP%, and effectiveness %.

Strengths

Scales with Enemy Max HP

Since she mainly plays around her poison mechanic, Kiris doesn't need to build any actual damage stats to do her job, freeing her up to be built with a lot of speed and HP, making her have higher survivability than a lot of other heroes would at that stage for a newer player.

Rare Buff Extension Mechanic

Kiris is one of few heroes that has the ability to extend debuffs for the enemy team, especially an unconditional one, which means she can extend the duration of stuns, arguably the most powerful debuff in PvP. With this in mind, Kiris can be used with certain heroes who can stun or mass debuff enemy teams in PvP.

Good Stat Awakening

Since her main job is to debuff, Kiris needs to go fast and have high effectiveness, both stats are given in her awakening tree, making building her even easier for new players.

Weaknesses

Hard to use against Fire Stages

Being an Earth Ranger, Kiris will be liable to miss against Abyss Floors with fire type bosses or elite mobs, which can make certain runs awkward or the leadup fight to be harder than the actual boss fight. In any case, players should be ready with a strong water DPS or team comp that can face those team in said cases.

Unusable into Certain Bosses

See how from Abyss 80~90 there are more bosses that are either immune or punish having debuff or poison and more bosses that are coming out as such, this is targeted against Kiris due to how much she carried players up to Abyss level 80.
