Kluri started raising a falcon in hope of reducing her workload. Although it ended up doing the exact opposite, she's carried on raising it for fun. Perhaps it learned from its master, because it will never do anything too difficult unless Kluri orders it to.

Gear

Since Falconer Kluri is really more of a support than a tank and she relies on taking as many turns as possible, she needs to be built with as much Speed as possible. Speed helps her cycle her cooldowns, heal herself (and the rest of her team), and give her team more CR.

After Speed, focus on her Effectiveness. If solely using her for PvE, 55% will suffice since most bosses have 70% resistance and 15% is guaranteed. For PvP, it is ideal to build as much Effectiveness as possible in order to secure your debuffs against all possible opponents.

The rest of Falconer Kluri's substats should go towards making sure she survives as long as possible. HP% is better for survival, but Def% also increases her damage, so a mix of both is preferred. You may also want to add some Effect Resistance so Falconer Kluri can't be Stunned at a crucial moment.

Artifacts

In terms of Artifacts, Falconer Kluri is one of the best Aurius holders in Epic Seven since she can passively heal off the extra damage she takes for the party with her S2.

If you have Falconer Kluri but haven't been lucky enough to pull an Aurius yet, you could also try using Egg of Delusion or Prophetic Candlestick as decent budget options.

Imma let you finish, but

My team had the best strategy of all times, all times!

This Falconer Kluri build aims to harass enemy AOE openings, especially turn-grabbers and initiators such as Shadow Rose or Tywin. How? By combining the power of her S1's CR boost and Elbris Ritual Sword.

Building high Speed and Effectiveness with an Immunity set, this Falconer Kluri is ready to outspeed the enemy and nail them to the wall with her falcon first thing in the battle. However, if she fails to do so, she's got Elbris up her sleeve as a trump card. If Elbris triggers a counterattack, she will gain 25~35% CR from the use of S1. This lets her intercept the enemy team's combo and disable their key cleaver with her S3.

Since Falconer Kluri can't disable or kill the entire enemy team with her one turn, this doesn't immediately guarantee a win for your team. However, the more the enemy acts and triggers Elbris, the more turns Falconer Kluri will rack up, meaning more heals, more damage, more CR, and more of her S3, steadily snowballing your party towards a win.

Team

Core

This is an Arena Defense stall team comprised of three tanks and one tanky healer, built to trick the enemy team into making a mistake. In this particular setup, Falconer Kluri and Charles should both have Elbris Ritual Sword, and Destina and Charles should both be equipped with Counter gear sets. Armin should be equipped with a Hilag Lance.

The enemy is likely to attack Charles first, expecting him to have an Elbris. This has a chance to trigger not only Charles' Counter set, but also Kluri's unexpected Elbris and Armin's Hilag Lance, shedding CR everywhere. Kluri and Armin can both defang the enemy team, leaving Charles to break their bones one by one. Destina is the team's safety net, constantly healing and turning debuffs into even more CR for this team to utilize.

This team is heavily reliant on RNG. Even with multiple Elbris Ritual Swords and Counter sets, counterattacks are RNG-heavy and may not trigger when you need them. However, many players will underestimate this team (or overestimate it!), leading to Defense wins or reduced aggro in the Arena.

Analysis

Overview

Despite being a 3 Earth Knight, Falconer Kluri is one of the best supports available to players who don’t have a huge amount of variety in their hero pools. With an ultimate full of utility, a bundle of small bonuses from her Skill Tree, and the ability to carry Aurius, Falconer Kluri can be used by any player looking to clear more content as well as helping to lock down low-Resistance enemies in PvP.

NOTE: Read more about how to complete Falconer Kluri's Specialty Change quest in our Specialty Change section.

Strengths

Loaded Support Kit

With the ability to Defense Break, dispel buffs, boost CR, Provoke enemies, and carry Aurius, Falconer Kluri is a one-slot wonder for all of these utilities. Being able to check off so many important boxes with one hero gives you a lot more freedom in building the rest of your team for both PvP and PvE content, including Arena, Abyss, Raid, Golem, and Azimanak.

High Self-Sustain

Falconer Kluri passively recovers up to 12% of her maximum Health every turn. With the CR boosts from her S1 giving her more turns more quickly, she can heal back from low Health quickly. Taking lots of turns also makes it easier for her to run out the duration on debuffs in a timely manner.

Decent Damage Output

Falconer Kluri's damage is usually low, with low Def scaling and no need for investment in Crit Chance or Damage. But with Defense Break on her S3 and constant turns, Falconer Kluri can harass the enemy DPS to half health, for your other heroes to finish off. You can also boost her damage with Defense buffs from heroes like Doris or Alencia.

Non-Damaging S3

Players often underestimate the value of a non-attacking debuff like Falconer Kluri's S3. The fact that it deals no damage means it cannot miss, thus completely bypassing any elemental disadvantages. Since Falconer Kluri's S3 is the strongest part of her kit, the fact that it works even against Fire-elemental heroes she would normally be disadvantaged against is a big plus.

Low Rarity

The fact that Kluri is originally a 3 unit means that she’s pretty much available to anyone who is willing to invest in her. She isn’t gated by rarity like other top-tier supports like Tamarinne or Shadow Rose, making her an ideal support option for a free-to-play player.

Weaknesses

Heavy Investment Required

Since she is a Specialty Change hero, getting Falconer Kluri requires players to complete her Specialty Change quest. Despite being available to players very early in her base form, Kluri doesn’t reach her true potential until players complete her Specialty Change and her entire Skill Tree. Players will have to farm the Earth Spirit Altar for a massive amount of Runes to accomplish this, making Falconer Kluri very high investment (especially for a 3★ hero).

Long Cooldowns

Falconer Kluri's strength comes from her utility, and most of her utility comes from her S3. However, even after Skill Enhancement, Falconer Kluri's S3 has a sluggish 5-turn cooldown. Her ability to CR-push herself helps her run down that cooldown more quickly, but it's still a long time to wait for Defense Break and buff dispel, both ailments that you may need multiple times in a fight.

Not a Tank

Despite being a Knight, Falconer Kluri is a ways off from being a real tank. Her base stats are relatively low for a tank and she has no ways of locking down enemies aside from her S3, which has a long cooldown. Simply think of her Knight tag as a way for her to carry Aurius.
