Analysis

Overview

Judge Kise is a Light type 5 Warrior that has a lot loaded into her skillset. She is currently one of the most popular DPS for an AoE comp in high end arena offense. Since the balance update in August 2019, when her soul burn changed into extra turn on her S2, End of Evil, making her the highest damaging AoE damage dealer, giving her a good matchup against Arbiter Vildred and instantly skyrocketing her Arena stock to top tier, solidifying her as one of the best cleavers.

Strengths

High Damage Potential Cleave

Not much needs to be said. Very high damage potential over 2 turns can grant a favorable matchup against Arbiter Vildred as well, should be a first choice for anyone who has her.

Self-Contained Combo

Aside from her massive damage, Judge Kise has a 75% chance to dispel immunity from enemy defenders with her S2, which can then enable her to push back their cooldowns and effectively disabling enemies from fighting back at all.

Fits Many Meta Cleave Team

Due to her massive damage as well as solid utilities,Judge Kise can be used with any arena offense combo whether it’s Auxiliary Lots + Challenger Dominiel or Basar + Tywin to effectively start a battle.

Weaknesses

Requires Soulburn

Judge Kise combo requires 20 souls for her combo, that’s why there is always at least 1 mage to carry Tagehel’s Ancient Book for her team.

Frontloaded Skillset

With all of the power in End of Evil (S2), and Wave of Light (S3), once Judge Kise blows her combo, it’s ideal to have another teammate clean up what she started since her cooldowns are generally pretty long.

Counters in High Arena

Judge Kise has some very bad matchups such as Martial Artist Ken, and Fallen Cecilia, both of whom are meta units in High Arena. These matchups can be mitigated, but it puts a strain on the slots used in a player’s team.
Ex. Martial Artist Ken be countered by carrying a tank such as Fallen Cecilia. Fallen Cecilia with Elbris can be countered by an immunity set.

Builds

High End PvP Cleave

The main focus of Judge Kise is to be built with ridiculous damage with a bit of effectiveness. There isn't a build set in stone as much of the build is contingent on her supporting members. For example:

When paired with Aux Lots/Challenger Dominiel:

She can be built with no speed and 88% crit chance, since Aux Lots can boost her to the top and C Dom gives 12.6% crit chance on an SSS imprint.

When paired with Basar/Tywin:

She can be built with only 50% crit chance but needs to be fast enough to be boosted to the top by Tywin, since his CR push is only 30% (50% with the right exclusive equipment).

As we can see, everything is situational and depends should be tailored made to maximize her results.

Sets

Since Judge Kise needs to focus on damage and critically striking the entire enemy team, destruction set is the best. For players who don't have one, an attack set will do the job. If players cannot piece together an attack set, I recommend running the best DPS equipment available for her and farming for a strong destruction set ASAP.

Her secondary set should always be immunity. Yes it makes gathering 100% crit chance on her that much harder, but it will vastly improve her match up against Elbris Ritual Sword wielding Fallen Cecilias, who is ubiquitous in high arena.

Artifacts

The go to artifact for any cleaver is the Guilty Gear collab artifact, Portrait of the Saints. For players who missed it, Exorcist's Tonfas will be serviceable. If available Draco Plate can also be considered since it will improve her matchup against counterattackers such as Martial Artist Ken.

Skillup

For newer players skillups are not as necessary since having equipment amounts to much more damage. Start from high Challenger and up, maxing out her opening combo is instrumental in making sure players are maximizing every percentage possible to gain an edge on the enemies. Ideally if any molagoras are left after, it can go into her S1, Sever, just to increase consistency for her to close out her own battles.

Team

Core

This is a pretty commonly seen team that compliments each other in Judge Kise cleave comps.

Key here is that at between Aux Lots and C Dom, there needs to be 20 souls with Tagehel's Ancient Book, and Watcher Schuri should be on Sashe Ithanes to seamlessly thread your team's turns together.

It essentially plays out like this:

-Auxiliary Lots will out speed the enemy and boost Judge Kise to the top
-Judge Kise will soulburn S2 then S3, killing most enemies with crit and boosting C Dom to the top
-C Dom will S3 to boost her team and buff up for crit chance, then attack with with stocked up damage to finish off an enemy
-If any enemies are alive at this point, Watcher Schuri's defense penetrating damage would be more than enough to finish them off, such as a Ruele of Light, to prevent her from mounting a comback by reviving enemies.

PvP Utility

The goal of this build is to provide Judge Kise with the means to apply the effects of Wave of Light (S3). The most important stats to focus on will be Effectiveness and Speed since those will allow her to go prior to enemy Heroes. In general, it’s best to prioritize positioning her for enabling  teammates rather than using her as the focal point of the team.

--Note: Cursed compass can also be used on Judge Kise when going first, however in an Immunity meta this can be counterproductive.

Team

Core

The compositions that Judge Kise is able to fit in are versatile. In general you will want to shut down a priority Hero on the enemy team after she uses Wave of Light. You will also typically want to have units who can dispel the enemy in the event of  Immunity sets.

Secondary

Since Judge Kise is so flexible, here is another team she would work into. The main priority is having a unit who can dispel the enemy in order for Wave of Light (S3) to get around Immunity.
