Having escaped the Homunculus experiments in the Laboratory, Otillie went to Wetheric Moor, following her cloudy memory of the past. Her blank facial expression and lack of Human emotion makes it very hard to tell if she is lying. She is quick-witted with good conversational skills.

Builds

Elective Affinities: Golem

As previously stated, it is very easy to build Otillie for Golem. Focus on Spd and Effectiveness so she can apply her ailments as often as possible, then flavor to taste with extra HP and Atk to keep her in the fight and help her burn the beast down more quickly.

Kal'adra and Bloody Rose are probably Otillie's best Artifacts for Golem. Since Otillie focuses so heavily on ailments, she easily applies the damage boost from Kal'adra, and since her ailments are all single-target, Bloody Rose is perfect to help her land them. Kal'adra is better if your Otillie already has high Effectiveness, but Bloody Rose may be more useful for new Golem runners so that Unhealable lands when it counts.

If you're determined to use Otillie in PvP, you might also consider Tagehel's Ancient Book. Otillie doesn't have much damage in the first place, so she's a good choice to carry a utility Artifact like Tagehel's, and she can use the extra Souls to Soulburn her S3 and use it twice (or even three times!) in a row, leaving multiple targets crippled by Silence and Unbuffable.

Team

Core

If you have Ken and Otillie, it's very easy to build a budget Golem team. Ken brings Defense Break and a lot of health to survive Golem's attacks, while Mascot Hazel buffs the team's Atk and keeps everyone healed. Otillie, as you might expect, mitigates damage with her passive and works with Mascot Hazel to keep Unhealable on Golem at all times. The last spot can really be any Fire-element DPS character, but Nemunas is particularly suitable for this composition because she has an AOE cleanse on her S3, something Mascot Hazel unfortunately lacks.

Analysis

Overview

Otillie is designed for one purpose and one purpose only: to make a fool out of Golem. She has Unhealable to counter the Breeze Silva add, AOE damage reduction when all of Golem's attacks are AOE, and Silence to delay Statue's Rage. She's more effective against Golem 10 (no Protection of Nature to deal with and Unbuffable to counter the Green Klineode), but between her S1 and her S2, she's still a helpful safety net when dealing with Golem 11, especially for new players.

Strengths

Variety of Debuffs

Many people don't realize just how many debuffs Otillie can utilize. Her S1 causes Unhealable, and her S3 debilitates her target with CR reduction, Silence, and Unbuffable all in one fell swoop. Furthermore, her S3's cooldown is very low (only 3 turns after Skill Enhancement) and she can even Soulburn it to reduce the cooldown by 2 turns, which allows her to use it frequently.

Protection from AOE Damage

Otillie has a rather unique passive in her S2, Area Defense, which reduces the damage your party takes from AOE attacks. This is most obviously useful for Golem, as all of Golem's attacks are AOE, but it can be useful in other places too. Bosses often have AOE attacks, and the damage reduction may even help you survive enemy cleave teams in PvP.

Easy to Use

As a 3★ hero, Otillie is easy to bring up to speed, since she uses Stigma instead of Molagora to enhance her skills. Even more importantly, however, she's incredibly lenient in regards to gear. Since she focuses almost entirely on debuffs and her S2 passive, as long as you can get some Spd and Effectiveness on her, she'll be able to do her job.

Weaknesses

Very Niche

While it's possible for Otillie to pull her weight in some circumstances outside of Golem, Golem is the only fight where she reliably shines. Her blend of lockdown ailments and AOE protection is very unique, but it doesn't have much application outside of her comfort zone. A strong Knight equipped with Aurius is usually going to be better at damage mitigation, and many other characters are better at locking down enemy targets.

Poor Stats

Otillie is both squishy and not very strong, which is one of the reasons she has trouble performing outside of the Golem fight. Her worth is based entirely on her debuffs and her passive, and those features are not always worth the sacrifice in damage output.
