The justice-obsessed queen of extra turns with an utter reliance on Critical hits and lucky procs is here! Just like her single-minded devotion to justice, Karin’s kit is single-mindedly focused on only one thing: CCritical hits. She is extremely good at this, with every portion of her kit doing something extra when she crits. If you can get her to 100% critical chance, you will enjoy consistently above-average DPS, with a good chance to luck into some truly incredible damage.


Potential Turn Chaining

Karin’s damage potential is incredible. When the stars align just right, her damage output is horrendous. An ideal rotation with lucky procs on Rhianna and Luciella (R&L) can double or triple her damage output.

Soul Generation

Due to taking so many turns, Karin can generate a fantastic amount of souls. This is good in feeding the rest of the team or summoning your Guardian more often.

Synergistic Skillset

Karin’s skillset rewards Critical hits by debuffing enemies, giving extra turns, reducing the cooldowns of other skills, and doing extra damage. If you can reach 100% crit rate, she can potentially do all these in just one turn.


Must-Have Artifact

Karin is one of those rare cases where the recommended artifact, Rhianna & Luciella - is absolutely essential. The more this artifact is leveled, the more consistent her damage becomes. Without it, Karin is severely hampered.

Damage Output Varies

Karin will always do decent damage. However, if she’s just not feeling it that day, and she doesn’t proc her artifact to get those juicy extra turns, she can unfortunately be just that -- a decent DPS.

No AoE Attacks

For some bosses, some type of AoE attack is absolutely essential to help with clearing adds. Karin cannot do this, as all of her damage is single-target.

Squishy; Defense Buff Not Effective

Sitting at just about 4,800 HP and with a low defense score to boot, Karin cannot take much punishment. She must be protected to ensure that she can continue to do damage. Unfortunately, due to the way she burns through additional turns, any defensive buff applied to her expires incredibly quickly.


Nat20, R&L Again to Confirm

This build maximizes critical hit damage and pushes crit chance to 100% to improve Karin’s consistency. If you choose to use the Rage set, Karin will definitely need another debuffer to maximize her damage. If you opt not to use the Rage set, the Destruction set is a fine alternative and will still provide good damage.

Karin gets exponentially better as her crit rate and artifact skill level increases, since they work together to make her a consistent unit.

Nothing beats screwing the rules and taking a bunch of turns in one turn!

For PvP, you have the option of taking Wind Rider instead of R&L; Karin is guaranteed her followup on anyone who isn’t Earth or buffed by Diene, and Wind Rider will help her to ensure that she gets the kill on a priority target. Since PvP ends so quickly, she doesn’t get much value out of R&L there.
You may also want to use the Destruction set as the Rage set can be inconsistent in PvP.

Karin appreciates anyone who can give her extra turns or attacks, as she can multiply those extra turns with R&L better than any other thief.

Since Karin does not carry her own ATK buff, she will need another teammate to provide it for her. Likewise, since her DEF break only lasts a single turn, she will need her teammates to provide additional turns of DEF break to maximize her damage output.
To this end, Taranor Guard is a good teammate, as he can push her turn into coming around faster multiple times in a row, and can serve as an extra DEF breaker (though his is still only one turn).

Diene has the most consistent ATK buff uptime, but due to Karin’s extra turns, she benefits from having more than one ATK buffer on the team.

The suggested team is very good at doing all of these things.


Karin is not the best unit to bring into PvP, given the prevalence of Diene. However, she is entirely self-sufficient as a single-target nuker, since she automatically gets an extra turn after using Blade Art: Flash (provided it crits), she can immediately proceed to kill an enemy with Blade Art: Thunder.

She does appreciate teammates who can provide ATK buffs, DEF breaks, or dispels, however. The team example shown does all of these things.
