This build uses Wanda as a PvP opener to disrupt your opponent’s strategy, for example, by stunning the enemy CR pusher or buffer for 2-turns. It requires high speed and effectiveness to ensure that Wanda takes the first turn and is able to land her debuffs. Song of Stars is a beneficial artifact for the additional chance of applying the target debuff, while Cursed Compass can be used to boost her first-turn effectiveness. Wanda can also be paired with a mage holding Tagahel’s ancient book, allowing her to immediately soul burn Fatal Shot for a 100% guaranteed stun.

Analysis
Overview
Wanda is a 3★ Dark Ranger who can Specialty Change into All-Rounder Wanda. Wanda's big selling point is her unique 2-turn Stun and her ability to passively apply the Targeted debuff. She can be used effectively in both PvP and PvE as a crowd-control specialist who Stuns and reduces Combat Readiness. However, she is strongly countered by Stun immunity and Effect Resistance, which are common among PvE bosses and high-level PvP teams.
After Specialty Changing into All-Rounder Wanda, her ailment game becomes stronger with the addition of Unhealable. However, just as noteworthy is her greatly increased damage on Targeted enemies, turning her into a hybrid DPS-debuffer, and her ability to Stealth herself, making it harder for enemies to retaliate against this slippery Ranger.
Building Wanda
Players should build Wanda similarly to how they would build All-Rounder Wanda (see our page on All-Rounder Wanda for more details). However, don't expect as much damage out of Wanda as you can get from her SC version. Before her Specialty Change, Wanda is much more of a pure debuffer, focusing on increasing her team's damage with Targeted and preventing key targets from moving with her Stun. (She also can't cause Unhealable until after her Specialty Change. That's important to remember.)

Strengths
Strong single-target lockdown
Wanda is the only hero with a two-turn stun, which can be used to great effect in both PvP and PvE to lock down important enemies. With high enough speed, combined with her ability to decrease the combat readiness of targeted enemies, she can lap slower enemies and keep them permanently stunned.
Effect-resistance penetration
Wanda’s Fatal Shot, when be upgraded to +4 and soul burned, ignores her target’s effect resistance and lands her 2-turn stun with 100% certainty. This can be clutch in many situations, especially in PvP, where a well-landed stun can instantly turn the tides in your favor.
Passive target debuff
Steady Aim applies the 2-turn target debuff on a random enemy every turn, increasing damage dealt the target by 15% and reducing evasion chance. The target debuff can be stacked with a defense break debuff to significantly amplify your team’s damage potential against both PvE bosses and PvP teams.
Weaknesses
Prevalence of stun immunity
Many boss monsters in PvE game modes are immune to stuns, which severely limits Wanda’s usefulness in those stages. In PvP, the introduction of immunity sets has also made it difficult for Wanda to stay relevant in the meta, since she is unable to stun or debuff enemies with immunity.
Beware of potion vials
Wondrous Potion Vial, a soul weaver artifact commonly used in Arena and Guild Wars, has a high chance of dispelling one random debuff. This can be a headache for Wanda, especially if her 2-turn stun is dispelled before it even takes effect.
Randomness of Steady Aim
In PvP modes, Steady Aim can be a huge help when it applies Wanda’s target debuff on the right enemy hero, but it can just as easily end up on low-priority heroes instead.
