- Despite lacking access to a Duel skill, Mordecai is capable of reaching 170 BST with just a single merge, removing the need for a Duel skill in the first place.
- Sabertooth Fang turns Mordecai into a remarkable Smite support unit (though it doesn’t actually need to be Smite; any movement Assist will work), as he can simultaneously mass debuff enemies, fully buff an ally (with a Link B skill combined with his C skill and Sacred Seal), and provide movement assistance all in one move.
- This works remarkably well in Aether Raids, where having this much efficiency from a single support unit is extremely valuable. It’s a bit less valuable in Arena since there are three units on the team whose sole purpose is to support the bonus unit, in addition to the fact that using a movement Assist in Arena will negatively impact scoring compared to a dual Rally or Rally+ Assist. However, the fact that Mordecai can reach 170 BST means that it may be worth taking the score hit to gain access to his fantastic support capabilities.
