Unit suggestion: Aversa, the Dark One

'Sup. I'm back again with another unit idea. Personally, it's a character I've wanted to see in this game since the start. Now that we have S!Camilla and S!Kamui, I don't think she's too far-fetched.

Aversa - Dark One

HP: 34
ATK: 36
SPD: 32
DEF: 21
RES: 25

[WEAPON]: Goetia (Blue Tome, non-inheritable)
Might: 14. If unit initiates attack, foes within 2 spaces of target take 5 damage after combat.
[SUPPORT]: None
[ACTIVE]: Galeforce
If this unit initiates an attack, it can take another action after combat. (Once per turn only.)
[A]
[B] Shadowgift (Inheritable (Tomes-only))
Absorbs 30% of damage dealt when this unit initiates combat, and follow-ups cannot be made. (If similar skill effects also used, only highest effect applied.)
[C] Hone Fliers
Grants adjacent flying allies Atk/Spd+6 through their next actions at the start of each turn. Requires Hone Atk 2 or Hone Spd 2.

Naturally, Aversa would wield the unique tome she has during her final fight during the events of Awakening: Goetia, the most powerful of the dark tomes. Given how Camilla wields a green tome and Kamui a blue tome, I wanted to make Goetia a red tome, but seeing as how it summons lightning, it made sense to categorize it as a lightning spell. As a legendary weapon unique to Aversa (and possibly Validar, later), it cannot be inherited and provides a large amount of power.

Galeforce: Naturally, as a Dark Flier, Aversa would have access to her Galeforce ability.

Shadowgift: this ability was actually fairly hard to come up with; but as Aversa's unique skill, she deserves to have it. Awakening doesn't offer much in the way of Dark Tomes, and Heroes doesn't offer any at all, so one can't simply copy the ability over. Because of that, I tried to come up with a more balanced version of one of the more popular Dark Tomes: Nosferatu. As the expense of not being able to perform a follow-up attack on initiation, Aversa is able to heal for a small portion of the amount of damage she dealt, not stacking with Sol and preventing her from rapidly charging any lengthy abilities at the same time. Enemies are still able to double against her, on either person's turn, and Shadowgift does not proc on the enemy's turn, preventing her from "Nosferatanking."

Hone Fliers: Because I really didn't have a much better idea. Given that she herself is a flier, I mostly based this decision of S!Kamui having Fortify Fliers.

Thoughts? Concerns? Honestly, I'm still trying to come up with ways to tweak Shadowgift. It doesn't exactly transfer easily.

I want this now.

Actually, this seems to be perfect. One tweak I'd make is lowering her speed and removing the "can't make follow up attacks" part of Shadowgift. That would make it harder for her to actually make follow-up attacks, but still let's her double even slower units. But this works just as well.

I considered lowering her SPD at first to do that, but I was modelling her BST after that of the Tome Fliers we have. She shares the same BST as S!Camilla, both having 1 more than S!Kamui, so if I lowered her SPD I'd have to increase something else in return. I suppose I could increase her HP, but Dark Fliers are known to be more of a glass cannon kind of unit. They do have good RES, though, so I suppose that could be increased...

It's actually partially why I added that to Shadowgift, so she can still double on the defense without healing, but her SPD as a flier doesn't make the ability too brokenly abusable; especially if inherited to other speedy mages like Linde, who can deal massive damage in one attack.
(Inheritance was actually the main reason I decided the limiter was necessary.)

Legendary tomes should wield 14 mt. I really want this one. I don't care what stats IS gives her. It's just that they made flier emblem too expensive to build. Bringing this makes IS consider the dilemma of F2P players.

So they do. Must've missed that at first, thanks for pointing it out. I corrected that and modified her stats a bit to match.

The whole limited detail of S!Camilla and S!Kamui is exactly why I want to see Aversa added to the game as well, a tome flier that isn't on a timer would be awesome to have. And with Goetia, you could potentially break the unspoken Raven-or-Blade rule they have right now.
