Draw Back

Overview

This is a mobility assist skill, and is noteworthy for being one of only two able to move two allies at the same time. And unlike the other mobility skills, the actual movement generated by the skill isn’t static: characters can be moved in any direction, depending on your positioning. Draw Back effectively grants its user (along with the rest of their team) a potential extra movement space, boosting the mobility of your whole team. Being able to pull an ally back one space is great for hit and run tactics: It can be used to pull a unit who’s just launched an attack back out of range. It's also possible to position a unit with Draw Back in front of an ally and use the skill to pull them forward one space. Draw Back is one of the most versatile assist skills, and can be used to help units get into and out of combat.

Synergy

Ranged attackers can benefit greatly from Draw Back, as it can be used to remove them from range once an attack is launched. If a ranged unit launches an attack over a wall, water or moutain, they are usually vulnerable to the enemy’s ranged units the following turn. However, with Draw Back, they can be pulled back one space to prevent the enemy from counter attacking. Draw Back combined with Sing/Dance is a formidable combination. A ranged unit can launch an attack, receive the effects of Sing/Dance, use their second turn to run behind the Sing/Dancer and use Draw Back on them. This leaves the enemy completely unable to counterattack.

Weaknesses

Draw Back is annoying to counter without a mobility skill of your own or units with unique movement options (such as a Flier or Cavalry unit). If an enemy uses Draw Back to keep out of range, you can use a mobility skill such as Reposition, Shove or Smite (Sing/Dance works too) to close the gap and attack the enemy. Draw Back can be used in a nearly limitless amount of ways, making it have few if any drawbacks.
