Weapon: Dracofalchion(+Eff)

Assist: Positional Assist

Special: Luna / Draconic Aura

Passive A: Atk/Spd Boosting A slot / Scendscale

Passive B: Lull Spd/Def / Lull Atk/Spd / Chill Def

Passive C: Joint Drive Atk / Atk/Spd Menace / Preference

Sacred Seal: Atk/Spd Solo / Blade Session / Swift Sparrow

  • Brave Alm’s refine gives him a hefty stat boost and excellent movement as well as Windsweep and partial Null Follow-up against physical foes, which gives him incredible potential in both pve modes and Aether Raids Defense.
  • Alm wants to stack as much Attack and Speed as possible to get the most out of his exclusive weapon’s effects, so A slot skills such as Surge Sparrow and Atk/Spd Solo 4 are his best options. He can still opt for Scendscale to hit even harder, but this comes at the cost of a decent amount of stats on Player Phase, so this is more of a budget option.
  • Since Alm already has Null Follow-Up built into his weapon for Player Phase, Alm can instead opt for Lull skills to give himself an even bigger stat swing in combat while also negating enemy buffs. Chill Defense is a workable budget alternative as well.
  • Your usual C slot skill fare(Ex: Joint Drive Atk) works as well as Alm as it does on everyone else, and the C slot skill Alm opts for is up to player preference.
  • Alm’s Sacred seal slot is much like his A slot, so options that let him stack more Attack and Speed such as Blade Session and Atk/Spd Solo are his preferred choices.

Time to tip the Scendscales! Wait, wrong unit. (AR-O)

Show Explanation/Analysis

Weapon: Ninja Katana+ / Brave Sword+

Assist: Ardent Sacrifice

Special: Galeforce

Passive A: Scendscale

Passive B: Desperation

Passive C: Savage Blow / Preference

Sacred Seal: Brash Assault

  • Now you may be wondering: A Brash Assault/Desperation build in 2021? Are we back in the dark ages? Well we are, but not because of this build. With a Brave Weapon and Brashperation setup, Brave Alm can cut through enemies regardless of their Defense stats, making him an extremely reliable nuke for Galeforce teams after set up. It’s also much easier to manage Alm’s HP for Galeforce with a Ninja Katana than it is for his exclusive weapon. With that said, you’ll only want to run this build with HP transferring support, such as Valentine’s Lif and Winter Bernadetta(with Ardent Sacrifice).
  • This is primarily a Galeforce team centered build, so Galeforce as Alm’s choice of special is a no brainer, allowing him to clear out two units in a single turn when it triggers.
  • Desperation and Brash Assault in Brave Alm’s B slot and sacred seal respectively allow Alm to Attack 4 times in a row before the foe can counterattack, regardless of his own Speed. This makes Alm a threat against almost everything, but setup is necessary to activate it, since trying to activate it via combat is typically not possible.
  • Savage Blow further weakens nearby foes for Alm’s allies to come in and clean up, ideal for Galeforce teams.

Strengths

Good statline

With high Attack and Defense and reasonably good Speed, Alm’s statline still holds up decently well, letting him dish out damage and take physical hits without much issue.

Great exclusive skills

Brave Alm’s refined Dracofalchion gives him improved movement, Self Null Follow-Up and Windsweep against foes with physical weapons, and a hefty stat bonus to boot. Scendscale on the other hand gives Brave Alm a hefty amount of true damage that scales off his own Attack, which can be incredibly devastating when coupled with a Brave weapon, or even just his exclusive weapon.

Weaknesses

Poor Resistance

Brave Alm’s lackluster resistance leaves him extremely vulnerable to being KO’d by magic using units, especially since his Windsweep-esque effect doesn’t work on them. As a result, Enemy Phase magic users and Dragons will typically be the biggest threat to Brave Alm’s success on AR-D teams.
