Assets

  • +SPD: Speed is a strong choice of Asset for Bridal Tanith and arguably her strongest overall. She will greatly appreciate the extra Speed no matter her build in order to secure follow-up attacks with greater ease.

  • +ATK: Attack is also a great Asset choice for Bridal Tanith. Increasing her damage dealt per attack will help her in any build she is using.

Neutral

  • DEF: If one wants to build Bridal Tanith for defensive use, then Defense can be a good Asset choice. She comes with good Defense by default and taking it as a Asset improves on that. However, both Attack and Speed will outperform Defense on offensive builds while still being strong options for a defensive build. Overall, keeping Defense neutral is recommended.

  • HP: Bridal Tanith sits at 37 HP, one of the lowest amongst lance fliers. For most offensive builds, a HP Flaw will be a fine choice. In general though, Bridal Tanith would want her HP to stay neutral since it affects both physical and magical bulk.

Flaws

  • -RES: Being Bridal Tanith’s weakest stat, Resistance makes for the overall best choice of Flaw. It is the stat that offers the least benefit to Bridal Tanith, thus making it the one that’s best decreased in favor of other stats.

Show Explanation/Analysis

Preferred IV: +ATK or +SPD / -RES or -HP or -DEF

Bridal Tanith will want either a Attack or Speed Asset in order to aid her offensive potential. Given that Firesweep Lance will block most counterattacks regardless, what Flaw is chosen is of much less concern. Still, having a Resistance Flaw is still overall recommended.

Weapon: Firesweep Lance+

  • Firesweep Lance is a powerful offensive option that blocks all enemy counterattacks with the exception of any unit using Null C-Disrupt.

  • This comes at the cost of Bridal Tanith herself not being capable of counterattacking, meaning she’s restricted to purely offensive play with this weapon.

Assist: Reposition / Harsh Command+ / Player Preference

  • Bridal Tanith’s default Assist, Harsh Command+, can be a strong skill that helps to offset penalties and status effects. This doesn't need to be switched out but can be changed to a movement Assist such as Reposition if desired.

Special: Moonbow / Glimmer

  • Moonbow is a great Special choice for this set primarily thanks to its low cooldown and usefulness against high Defense foes.

  • Similarly, Glimmer is also a good choice since it has the same cooldown as Moonbow. However, since Glimmer’s power is determined by Bridal Tanith’s damage dealt, it’s not as consistently useful as Moonbow.

Passive A: Atk/Spd Solo / Life and Death / Swift Sparrow

  • Atk/Spd Solo is a fantastic offensive skill, boosting Bridal Tanith’s offensive capabilities substantially whenever she has no adjacent allies.

  • Life and Death is another strong and much cheaper choice than Atk/Spd Solo. While giving slightly less of a offensive boost, it is always active and the lowered defenses are not a significant setback since Firesweep Lance will block most counterattacks regardless.

  • Swift Sparrow is even cheaper still, granting an offensive boost whenever Bridal Tanith initiates combat.

Passive B: Chill Def / Chill Spd / Chill Atk / Hit and Run

  • The Chill skills have natural synergy with Firesweep weapons since a lot of other B slots don’t offer any benefits with Firesweep weapons. Chill Def and Chill Spd will both offer benefit to Bridal Tanith through either increased damage or increased follow-up potential against anyone affected. Her default Chill Atk could even be consider since she’ll have an easier time activating Heavy blade against affected foes.

  • Hit and Run is a great budget option that moves Bridal Tanith back one space after any combat so long as the tile is free and traversable.

Passive C: Flier Buff / Player Preference

  • Bridal Tanith comes with Fortify Fliers by default. This will be valuable on Bridal Tanith if she is being used alongside other fliers.

  • Outside of this, there’s no particular C slot skill that’s more beneficial than others. If one is unsure what to use, using a Spur or Drive skill is a typically safe choice.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade / Darting Blow

  • Heavy Blade is a great choice of Sacred Seal. As long as the opponent has no skill which slows special charge and Bridal Tanith has more Attack than her foe, she will be able to instantly charge Moonbow or Glimmer in a single hit.

  • Darting Blow is another good Sacred Seal choice, granting a significant Speed boost to Bridal Tanith when initiating combat.

Show Explanation/Analysis

Preferred IV: +ATK or +SPD / -RES

Either Attack or Speed will be the best option for an Asset in order to boost Bridal Tanith’s offensive potential. Resistance is her least important defensive stat and will be the optimal stat to

Weapon: Lofty Blossoms+ (+Spd) / Lofty Blossoms+ (+Atk)

  • Lofty Blossoms is Bridal Tanith’s default weapon and is a strong offensive weapon, granting Bridal Tanith with the Swift Sparrow skill.

  • It should be refined for either Speed or Attack in order to further enhance Bridal Tanith’s offensive capabilities.

Assist: Reposition / Harsh Command+ / Player Preference

Special: Moonbow / Luna

  • Moonbow is a great Special choice, particularly when used in combination with the Heavy Blade Seal thanks to its low cooldown.

  • Luna is a more powerful version of Moonbow with a longer cooldown. It is also a good Special choice, albeit less consistent to activate due to the longer cooldown.

Passive A: Swift Sparrow / Fury (3 or 4)

  • Swift Sparrow comes on Bridal Tanith by default and is a perfectly fitting skill for an offensive build, granting her an offensive boost whenever initiating combat.

  • Fury is a cheap alternative and is also a strong choice, boosting all of Bridal Tanith’s stats at the cost of recoil damage after combat. Fury 4 is stronger than Fury 3, but also way more expensive, so Fury 3 would work absolutely fine.

Passive B: Desperation / Chill Atk

  • Desperation is a cheap and strong B slot option for offensive sets, permitting Bridal Tanith to make any follow-up attack immediately after her first whenever she’s below 75% HP.

  • Chill Atk is Bridal Tanith’s default B slot and while it may not seem to help her much offensively at first glance, debuffing a foe’s Attack has the advantage of helping Bridal Tanith to activate Heavy Blade against affected foes.

Passive C: Flier Buff / Savage Blow / Player Preference

  • The cheapest option for a C slot would be to use Bridal Tanith’s default Fortify Fliers. This will be a good option if Bridal Tanith is used alongside other fliers.

  • Savage Blow is a cheap offensive-oriented C slot that deals a small amount of AoE damage whenever Bridal Tanith initiates combat.

  • If neither of these are what one wants to use, then the C slot is open to almost anything. Going with a Spur or Drive skill is typically a safe choice for most scenarios.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade / Darting Blow

  • Heavy Blade is a great Sacred Seal choice. With this Seal, Bridal Tanith can fully charge Moonbow in a single attack so long as she has more Attack than the opponent, allowing her to potentially utilize Moonbow every round of combat even with Desperation active.

  • Darting Blow is another good option, granting Bridal Tanith with a strong Speed boost whenever initiating combat.

Show Explanation/Analysis

Preferred IV: +ATK or +SPD or +DEF / -RES

Again, Attack and Speed both make for great Asset choices. A Defense Asset is also a good choice in order to increase her defensive capabilities. Once again, a Resistance Flaw remains her best option.

Weapon: Slaying Lance+ (+Spd or +Def) / Harmonic Lance+ (+Spd or +Def) / Vanguard+ (+Spd or +Def)

  • The Slaying Lance is the best overall option, decreasing Bridal Tanith’s Special cooldown by one.

  • Harmonic Lance is another good option that increases the damage Bridal Tanith deals with her Special by ten.

  • Vanguard is also good, giving Bridal Tanith a large Defense boost whenever attacked.

  • In all cases, refining for either Speed or Defense is recommended.

Assist: Reposition / Harsh Command+ / Player Preference

Special: Bonfire / Blue Flame / Moonbow

  • Bonfire is a great choice of Special for this set. Given how much Defense Bridal Tanith will have, Bonfire will prove to be consistently strong.

  • Blue Flame is a much more expensive but also strong choice, particularly when coupled with Bond skills.

  • Moonbow is a good choice of Special thanks to its low cooldown.

Passive A: Steady Stance 4 / Atk/Def Bond / Spd/Def Bond / Steady Stance 3

  • Steady Stance 4 is a fantastic defensive A slot. It grants Bridal Tanith with a huge Defense boost and a Guard effect whenever the foe initiates combat.

  • A Bond skill can also work great, granting Bridal Tanith with a large boost to two stats whenever she has an adjacent ally. Both Atk/Def Bond and Spd/Def Bond make for good choices.

  • Steady Stance 3 is far less impressive than Steady Stance 4, losing the Guard effect and a bit of Defense. As such, the other alternatives to Steady Stance 4 are recommended over Steady Stance 3, but it is still a good option.

Passive B: Quick Riposte / Renewal / Guard / Chill Atk

  • Quick Riposte is a strong B slot choice. While Bridal Tanith is fast, many fast opponents exist. Quick Riposte is here in order to ensure that Bridal Tanith will be able to perform a follow-up attack against attacking foes so long as she is above 70% HP.

  • Renewal is another good option, helping Bridal Tanith to stay healthy through healing every other turn.

  • Guard is a good option if Steady Stance 4 is not being used. Whenever Bridal Tanith is above 80% HP, Guard will prevent the opponent from charging their Special and it will offset the bonus charge gained from skills such as Heavy Blade.

  • Chill Atk comes on Bridal Tanith by default and makes for a good budget option, helping Bridal Tanith and anyone else on her team defensively against anyone affected by it.

Passive C: Atk Smoke / Flier Buff / Player Preference

  • Atk Smoke is a great choice of C slot for a defensive setup. Whenever Bridal Tanith attacks, she will debuff the Attack of foes around her target, thus helping her to defend herself even more.

  • A Flier Buff such as her default Fortify Fliers also works well when she’s alongside other fliers.

Sacred Seal: Atk/Def Bond / Iote’s Shield / Renewal / Quick Riposte

  • Atk/Def Bond makes for a solid Sacred Seal. Whenever Bridal Tanith has an adjacent ally, she’ll gain a strong Attack and Defense boost.

  • Iote’s Shield is another great option, preventing Bridal Tanith from taking effective damage from bows.

  • Renewal is also strong and can help Bridal Tanith to keep healthy. If desired, it can combo with the Renewal B slot skill to gain even more healing.

  • Quick Riposte can also be used in the Sacred Seal slot if something else is being used in the B slot.

Introduction

Tanith’s heart may belong solely to the battlefield, but here she is regardless with a bridal gown on ready for the festival. Bridal Tanith joins the ever-growing group of lance fliers available and while she does possess good stats, she fails to set herself apart in the bloated crowd.

Statistically speaking, Bridal Tanith is actually quite good. She sports the same offensive spread as Tana which makes her good for offensive play. She also comes with one of the highest Defense stats amongst lance fliers, meaning she can also be run defensively. Her main weakness is her poor Resistance stat.

Unfortunately, these good stats are not enough to make her stand out in any significant way from the other lance fliers. For example, Catria, Shanna, and Est are three lance fliers who are arguably outclassed by Bridal Tanith statistically, but these three all have their own unique weapons that set them apart in the crowd. Bridal Tanith’s superior stats are not enough to make her worth using over the three lance fliers mention here, not to mention all three are not seasonal locked and can be obtained at 3 and 4 stars rarity.

Overall, there is not much reason to consider obtaining and using Bridal Tanith outside of love for Tanith herself. Bridal Tanith is certainly not bad though. Her strong stats means that she can still be a more than capable unit with the right skills and support.

Strengths

Great Offensive Stats

Bridal Tanith comes with 34 Attack and 36 Speed, the same offensive spread found on Tana. This is a strong offensive spread, giving Bridal Tanith good damage output and good follow-up potential once supported with the right skills.

Good Physical Bulk

Bridal Tanith comes with good physical bulk for a lance flier. Her HP of 37 is nothing special, but she comes with 33 Defense, one of the highest amongst lance fliers. With a refined weapon buffing her HP by five and defensive-oriented skills, Bridal Tanith can become surprisingly strong defensively when facing physical opponents.

Flier

Being a flier, Bridal Tanith gets to enjoy enhanced mobility which lets her move over normally inaccessible terrain such as mountains and water. She can also benefit from flier buffs such as Hone Fliers when paired with other fliers.

Weaknesses

Low Resistance

Bridal Tanith’s biggest statistical weak point is her Resistance stat of 21. This means she fares poorly against magical units such as mages and dragons. One should take caution if Bridal Tanith needs to engage in combat with magical opponents.

Outclassed

As a lance flier, Bridal Tanith sits in a class packed with very similar units. Unfortunately, her good stats do not make her stand out enough. Units such as Catria, Est, and Shanna are much more readily available and come with personal weapons which do make them stand out. Even units such as Cordelia and Shigure stand out as arguably better investments thanks to being in the 3 and 4 star pool and thus easier to merge and find ideal IVs for.

It’s not that Bridal Tanith is bad because she is certainly a good unit. It’s just that there are so many other lance fliers which would be better investments from a performance and availability standpoint.
