  • Spring Loki’s middling stats usually involve her builds going one direction and ignoring the other, so first up would be an offensive build that focuses on boosting her Attack and Speed while bypassing investments into her defensive stats. An Attack Asset is recommended in order to ensure Spring Loki has enough damage to win most matchups. However, a Speed Asset can also be considered as Spring Loki can have trouble landing follow-up attacks even with support at times.
  • Rein Bow is an easy way to boost Spring Loki’s offensive potential as she inflicts -5 Speed/Defense on her opponent just by being near them, making it effortless to utilize. As Coral Bow sports the exact same effect, these bows can be used interchangeably, with Coral Bow potentially being easier to obtain due to being available through Divine Codes. Alternatively, a Firesweep Bow can be utilized. Though the Firesweep Bow will not boost Loki’s stats, it will allow her to attack without fearing counter attacks from opponents that do not carry Null C-Disrupt.
  • Spring Loki enjoys Specials such as Moonbow and Luna as the defense mitigation that comes from these Specials helps to compensate for her lower end damage potential. The choice of Special comes down to whether frequency or power is preferred.
  • While the A Passive is easy to consider, with Attack and Speed boosting Skills being ideal, more thought comes from choosing a B Passive as Bow Fliers like Spring Loki do not have many options. Spd/Def Snag can be used in order to inflict Speed and Defense debuffs with the aid of positional assist Skills that can be capitalized either by Loki or her teammates. Desperation can be considered if not using Firesweep Bow as it can allow for Loki to be able to attack twice in a row and not have to worry about trading blows once she has dropped to 75% HP or less. Chill Spd and Chill Def are other ways of inflicting Speed and Defense debuffs, and are much cheaper to come by compared to Spd/Def Snag.
  • Spd/Def Rein is another easy way to boost Spring Loki’s offensive potential, giving her the ability to inflict -4 Speed/Defense to nearby opponents during combat. If this is too difficult to come by, her default Goad Fliers can be a good option if Spring Loki is used alongside other fliers.
  • For the Sacred Seal, either the Atk/Spd Solo Sacred Seal or the Swift Sparrow Sacred Seal should be used to give Spring Loki a further boost to her offensive stats.

  • Moving away from the offensive build, this build focuses more on boosting Loki’s defensive potential. An Attack Asset is still recommended here as Loki still needs to be able to defeat her opponents in combat. While a Resistance Flaw is suggested, this is only because taking a Flaw in HP or Defense would result in a four point reduction in stats, making them less than ideal. Ideally, if running a defense oriented Spring Loki, at least one merge to mitigate the Flaw stat is recommended.
  • The Plegian Bow is a fantastic inheritable weapon for defensive builds, as long as the user is not adjacent to an ally during combat, they will inflict -5 Attack/Defense on the opponent as well as a further debuff to any penalties in Attack and Defense they may be suffering. This can boost Spring Loki’s effective bulk and damage output to ridiculous levels if displayed debuffs are played around. Spendthrift Bow on the other hand does not have any condition to worry about whatsoever as it gives a +7 Attack buff to Loki and inflicts -7 Attack on the opponent, but Loki will have +2 Special Cooldown inflicted on her after combat which makes Specials harder to use without aid from units like Brave Lucina. The Reindeer Bow is an accessible option that grants Loki +5 Attack/Defense during combat as well as inflicting Special cooldown charge -1 on the opponent if Loki is nearby an ally.
  • Moonbow and Noontime are Specials that can activate frequently, and the choice comes down to some extra firepower or a bit of sustain. If Spendthrift Bow is being used, a Brave Lucina support is recommended to ensure these Specials go off reliably.
  • For the A Passive, either Close Counter or Close Foil can be used. As Spring Loki can have decent effective Resistance, Close Counter can allow her to counterattack dragons as opposed to the inability to with Close Foil. Close Foil on the other hand can give Loki extra Attack and Defense when in combat with physical opponents in the Enemy Phase.
  • Atk/Def Snag gives a way for Loki to be able to spread Attack and Defense debuffs on nearby foes through the usage of positional assist Skills, making it a great option when paired with the Plegian Bow. Mystic Boost will heal Loki slightly after combat, allow for adaptive damage to no longer target her weaker defensive stat, and gives her the ability to take normal damage from Wrathful Staff carriers.
  • If extra debuff application iis needed for Plegian Bow consistency, Atk Smoke works wonders as a C Passive of choice. Otherwise, options such as Atk/Spd Rein or Atk/Def Rein can give Loki further boosts to her effective stats.
  • The Atk/Def Solo and Atk/Spd Solo Sacred Seals give Loki extra bonuses to her Attack as well as either Defense or Speed depending on which is chosen, and pair wonderfully with the fact that Plegian Bow already has a solo based condition. If Atk Smoke is not used in the C Passive, it can be used in the Sacred Seal instead as an option. Iote’s Shield can also be used if desiring for Loki to take normal damage from archers, expanding what she can take on in the Enemy Phase to include them.

  • Looking for a cheap Bow Flier but don’t have expensive Skills to give? Not a problem, Spring Loki can be used relatively cheap out of the box with minimal investments to her kit. While Attack and Speed are recommended Assets, a Neutral Spring Loki can be used for that authentic free outdated Tempest Trial reward unit experience.
  • Spring Loki’s default Beguiling Bow is surprisingly alright, giving her a boost to all of her stats by 2 if her foe is at full HP at the start of combat. It can be replaced by other options if willing to consider them, as Slaying Bow can allow for Spring Loki to have more frequent Special activations while Candlewax Bow gives Loki an effective Fury 3 boost, even down to the chip damage, which can make using lower HP Skills such as Brazens or Desperation easier to achieve.
  • Doubling down on the budget aspect of this build, cheap A Passive options for Spring Loki comprise of Fury, Life and Death, and Brazen Atk/Spd. Each seeks to boost Loki’s offenses to reasonable levels, with Fury giving relatively safe boosts alongside chip damage which can be beneficial in some cases, Life and Death giving a larger boost to Attack and Speed at the cost of her defenses, while Brazen Atk/Spd requires some additional setup but can pair nicely with Candlewax Bow’s chip damage.
  • Desperation gives Spring Loki the ability to follow-up attack right away if below 75% HP, while Flier Formation is her default B Passive and can give her strong mobility if used alongside other Flier allies.
  • Goad Fliers is Spring Loki’s default C Passive and is a great way to give ally fliers a boost to their Attack and Speed. The C Passive is relatively unimportant to the build, so anything can be chosen here as a result of preferences.
  • The Sacred Seal Slot should be either Atk/Spd Solo, Swift Sparrow, or Brazen Atk/Spd as each option boosts Loki’s offensive stats in some way. The Brazen Atk/Spd Sacred Seal can be easily set up with the aid of both Candlewax Bow and Fury being used at the same time.

Strengths

Well Rounded Assets

Many of Spring Loki’s stats fall in the average range, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Her base 34 Speed allows her to have some fair Speed for offensive and defensive utilities once invested into, and her defensive stats don’t fall too far behind either with values of 27 Defense and 25 Resistance. Interestingly, this gives her solid mixed bulk among a good chunk of her bow flier peers as many either have their stats heavily skewed away from their defenses, or commit heavily to one defensive stat while ignoring the other.

Build Versatility

While she won’t be outdoing the sheer flexibility that comes from fellow Bow Flier Brave Claude, Spring Loki’s stats and the numerous options of inheritable bows gives her plenty of options in terms of what builds she can try to utilize and where she can plug stat investments into. With some extra merges secured from the Heroic Grail Shop, it’s possible to have a bow flier with fair stats in every category that can run an assortment of different setups for players to toy around with, limited only by skill availability and their imagination.

Weaknesses

Questionable Attack Stat

A common criticism with Spring Loki is the fact that her Attack stat has always stuck out at a below average value of 31. While this can be addressed through Skills and weapons that bulk up her Attack stat as well as the usage of Trait Fruits to give her an Attack Asset, at the end of the day Spring Loki can certainly tease people with her charms but she doesn’t bite as hard as one might expect her to.

Being a Flier has Disadvantages

As a Bow Flier, Spring Loki doesn’t have all too many B Passive options to pick from making Skill options somewhat limited compared to other movement types. Not only this, but her defensive focus somewhat clashes with the fact that bows are a common weapon type that can sport effective damage against fliers and deal a lot of damage to her even with heavy investments into defense. While this is somewhat mitigated by the ability to run the Iote’s Shield Sacred Seal, it does cost Spring Loki her Sacred Seal Slot which could have instead been used for extra stat boosts.
