Boons

  • +SPD: This is Olivia’s ideal and most consistent boon, providing her with options both offensively and defensively by enhancing her ability to perform and avoid follow-up attacks.
  • +ATK: Although it is generally less useful than a Speed boon, an Attack boon can be taken to increase Olivia’s overall raw damage output and turn her into a more capable combatant given the proper support.

Neutral

  • DEF: In addition to the fact that Olivia will typically be fighting against other melee units, this stat is also a superbane, which means that it lowers the stat by 4 points as opposed to the usual 3, making it best to leave her Defense neutral.
  • HP: Olivia’s HP should also remain untouched as taking a bane in this stat takes away from both her physical and magical bulk.

Banes

  • -RES: Resistance is Olivia’s worst and least important stat, and can be safely lowered without causing too much of an impact on her overall performance.

  • Passive C: Guidance / Goad Fliers / Ward Fliers / Flier Guidance / Flexible
  • Sacred Seal: Drive Atk / Speed +3 / Attack +3 / Guidance

This build aims to capitalize on her versatility as a support unit and enable her to fit into a variety of different team compositions. In addition to having all the perks of being a flier dancer, Olivia’s unique sword, Skuld, is a powerful support weapon that provides an ally with a significant +3 buff to all their stats after using Dance. This combination allows her to boast unrivaled utility and supportive capabilities, making her arguably the best dancer currently in the game.

Olivia’s choices for her Special are quite limited since aside from her Speed, none of her stats are high enough to merit the use of Specials that scale off of them. As such, Moonbow makes for a fantastic choice of Special as it scales off of her opponent’s stats rather than her own. In exchange for a longer cooldown, Luna may also be taken as her Special to grant her a higher damage output increase.

As for her A slot, Fury is ideal as the +3 stat boost it provides to all of her stats can come an extremely long way in improving her overall survivability. On top of giving her a considerable boost to her defenses, Fury helps improve her ability to perform and deny follow-up attacks. When combined with a Speed boon, Olivia can reach a respectable 40 Speed which can be further heightened through the use of buffs. Should it be unavailable, Olivia’s native Bracing Stance works perfectly fine as a budget option but is comparatively worse than Fury due to the lack of coverage that it offers her.

Olivia’s native Chill Spd is an excellent B slot to further embrace her role as a support unit, allowing her to help her team perform follow-up attacks against speedy foes who could be difficult to deal with otherwise. However, depending on her team composition, another Chill skill may be preferred, making her B slot rather flexible. Wings of Mercy is also an option for her B slot to give her flexibility in the way that she can support her team as it allows her to teleport next to any ally whose HP is below or equal to 50% of their total health; this skill is best paired off with offensively oriented units who commonly run low on health, such as mages who run the popular but effective Fury + Blade tome combo.

Her C slot is also flexible, with her native Guidance being a wonderful skill to use in mixed teams to give her even more versatility. Alternatively, one can choose to utilize the Guidance seal instead and fill her C slot with another skill that is not yet available as a seal. If running Olivia with other fliers, flier-exclusive buffs such as Goad Fliers and Ward Fliers are also great choices. Otherwise, feel free to switch out her C slot for any skill that best supports her specific team composition. However, keep in mind that running Hone and Fortify skills on Olivia can be redundant as she already provides her allies with field buffs after using Dance, making it best to use Spurs and Drives instead. Lastly, the Drive Atk seal is a particularly effective seal to further enhance her supportive capabilities. If it is unavailable, then the Speed +3 and Attack +3 seals are both great placeholders to improve her offensive potential.

Show Explanation/Analysis
  • Preferred IV: +SPD or +ATK / -RES
  • Weapon: Skuld
  • Assist: Dance
  • Special: Moonbow / Luna
  • Passive A: Swift Sparrow / Fury / Brazen Atk/Spd
  • Passive B: Desperation / Chill Spd
  • Passive C: Guidance / Goad Fliers / Ward Fliers / Flier Guidance / Flexible
  • Sacred Seal: Speed +3 / Attack +3

In comparison to the first build, this set takes a far more offensively oriented approach to Olivia’s playstyle and is focused more on her ability to act as a capable duelist, although she does still retain some of her supportive prowess. A Speed boon is her preferred option to secure follow-up attacks more reliably while an Attack boon is also a suitable choice of IVs to strengthen the power of her individual hits. Regardless of the chosen boon, however, Olivia will be reliant on team support to perform up to par as an offensive unit and truly shines when supported with flier-exclusive buffs such as Hone Fliers.

Swift Sparrow is Olivia’s ideal A slot for this build, offering her a substantial +4/+4 increase to her Attack and Speed stats respectively at no cost to her defenses. In exchange for a marginally weaker increase to her offensive stats, Fury also supplements her overall bulk; its chip damage also makes reaching Desperation’s HP threshold much safer. Brazen Atk/Spd grants Olivia the greatest boost to her offensive potential out of all the mentioned options but requires some set-up, as its effect is only active once she is under its HP threshold.

Desperation pairs excellently with this build’s playstyle and allows Olivia to perform her follow-up attacks in succession before her opponent can counterattack when under 75% HP. Her native Chill Spd is also a good option to run as her B slot to augment her ability to perform follow-up attacks as well as provide team support.

Aside from these slight alterations, the rest of this set plays out fairly similarly to the first. Moonbow and Luna are again her most consistent choices for a Special and both can help against bulkier foes who could otherwise pose a serious threat. Guidance, Goad Fliers, Ward Fliers, and Flier Guidance are all outstanding options to run in her C slot, with the decision of which skill to use ultimately boiling down to personal preference and her team composition. The Speed +3 and Attack +3 seals are her preferred seal slots to augment her offensive capabilities.

Introduction

Having decided to take her talent to the skies, Olivia joins us center stage as the game’s third flying refresher. On top of sporting excellent mobility and access to flier-exclusive buffs, Olivia’s new iteration also possesses a fantastic personal weapon in the form of Skuld. Its effect gives any ally whom Olivia uses Dance on a +3 buff to all their stats, allowing her to act as a refresher and buffer simultaneously. These factors all contribute to Olivia’s astounding versatility and thanks to her surprisingly decent offensive stat line for a dancer, she’s able to fit into a myriad of different team compositions and provide unparalleled support.

However, her access to Dance is a double-edged sword and comes at the cost of her BST. In addition to making her weigh considerably less than other sword units in Arena, the cut to her BST leaves her with fewer stats to allocate, resulting in an overall unimpressive stat line in comparison to other units of the same class typing. Her status as a flier also causes her to be extremely vulnerable to archers. Nonetheless, despite these weaknesses, Olivia is not to be underestimated. With an exceptional personal weapon, access to flier mobility and buffs, and the ability to give an ally another move, Olivia demonstrates tremendous supportive capabilities and is truly one of, if not the strongest, dancers released thus far.

Strengths

Dance

Olivia’s defining feature is her access to Dance, a powerful skill that enables an ally to take another turn after having already moved once. When utilized tactfully, one can often find themselves escaping even the toughest of scenarios without breaking a sweat.

Skuld

Skuld is a fantastic support weapon that allows Olivia to double as both a refresher and a buffer by granting any ally that she uses Dance on with a considerable +3 buff to all of their stats.

Flier

In addition to having access to flier buffs and mobility, Olivia’s status as a flier gives her unprecedented versatility in the support she can provide her team thanks to skills such as Guidance.

Good Speed

Second only to the likes of New Year Azura and Lene, Olivia boasts the second highest Speed stat of all refreshers currently in-game. This can be heightened to high enough levels that she can reliably perform and deny follow-up attacks, greatly improving her overall sustainability.

Weaknesses

Low BST

In exchange for being in possession of arguably the strongest Assist in the entire game, Olivia suffers from a sharp cut to her BST. This leaves her with fewer stats to allocate and as a result, she is comparatively weaker offensively and defensively than most other sword units. Her low BST can also cause one’s Arena score to lower without sufficient investment in her.

Effective Damage

Like all other fliers, Olivia suffers from an innate weakness to bows and will easily fall to an archer’s attacks.
