Ice Mirror
Overview
Ice Mirror is a Special attack unique to Fjorm, and cannot be inherited to any other characters. It is noteworthy for being the only Special attack to have both a damage dealing and damage reduction component. Ice Mirror is considered a defensive Special, and will not work with Wrath. The damage that Ice Mirror deals is equal to the amount reduced by the skill, meaning it can be combined with Shield Pulse for further damage reduction beyond just 30%.
Synergy
Ice Mirror synergises very well with Fjorm's base kit. Her lance Leiptr has Distant Counter built in, allowing her to hit ranged fighters that attack her. Shield Pulse's damage reduction stacks with Ice Mirror, allowing it to both reduce and deal an extra five points of damage. Shield Pulse has an effect that grants two special charges if the unit's special is defensive: This lets Fjorm have Ice Mirror pre-charged at the start of the round. Since Ice Mirror deals hits harder the more damage it reduces, skills that make Fjorm take more damage can be useful. Life and Death is one such example, although it can be dangerous to use as it makes her weaker vs. melee units.
Weaknesses
Ice Mirror has excellent synergy with Fjorm's base kit and has no exploitable weaknesses. For the damaging portion of the skill, Ice Mirror requires a weapon with Distant Counter. This is because the damage reduced will not be stored between rounds and resets when combat ends.
