When Annette uses a Rally Assist with Crusher, the rallied unit will also receive +1 Movement unless they are a 2-range cavalier. With this, Annette can become a dedicated support unit that can also defend or attack when needed.
-
Thankfully, Annette has a supportive base kit that can make Skill Inheritance fairly minimal. Rally Atk/Spd+ is an excellent Assist for increasing an ally’s offenses (and movement), with Def/Res Ruse and Atk Feint debuffing enemies in cardinal direction of Annette and her target ally with -7 Atk and -5 Def/Res. Alternatively, Atk Feint can be swapped for Spd Feint to instead inflict -7 Spd.
-
Annette’s C slot is flexible, with skills that increase allies’ Defense and/or Resistance taking top priority since she only increases Attack and Speed with Rally Atk/Spd+.
-
For her A slot, strong options include Fort. Def/Res and Fury, with the former focusing completely on Annette’s bulk and the latter making her a more well-rounded unit via increasing her offenses. Bulk is especially important on a support unit, as while they may not be in-combat as often as combat units, they provide buffs that may be vital to allowing those combat units to score several KOs or survive several more altercations.

-
For those that don’t want to focus solely on offense/Galeforce or solely on support, this set aims to mix both together.
-
Annette’s base kit is a great start, with Crusher, Rally Atk/Spd+, and Def/Res Ruse being her primary support tools, alongside the Sacred Seal option of Atk Feint or Spd Feint. With this combination, she can grant +6 Atk/Spd and +1 movement (if the ally is not a 2-range cavalier) while debuffing all enemies within cardinal directions of herself and her target ally with -5 Def/Res and -7 Atk or -7 Spd if Atk or Spd Feint respectively is used. Fort
-
On the more offensive side, Atk/Spd Push 4 grants Annette +7 Atk/Spd regardless of what phase it is if her HP is ≥ 25%, allowing her to bolster her damage output and perform follow-up attacks more consistently. Atk/Spd Push 4 also helps Annette reach Desperation’s ≤ 75% HP threshold, allowing her to perform a follow-up attack before the enemy can counterattack. Her damage output can become especially high thanks to Crusher’s adaptive damage (targeting the lower of the enemy’s Defense and Resistance) and Def Smoke, which inflicts -7 Def on all enemies within 2 spaces of the target. Def Smoke can also help her physical allies dish out higher damage.
-
Moonbow is a great Special to help Annette take down foes with both impressive Defense and Resistance. However, Glimmer can also be used to take full advantage of Crusher’s adaptive damage effect, usually granting Annette massive bonus damage.

-
With a strong 39/36 offensive statline supported by a 19-Might weapon and potentially an Attack Superasset (to 43 Attack) or a Speed Asset (to 39 Speed), Annette can become a very capable Galeforce sweeper.
-
Since this set focuses on Annette’s combat rather than support potential, she won’t be able to take advantage of her Crusher’s Rally Movement effect. However, her adaptive damage can be very beneficial, helping Annette score KOs on physically-bulky, but magically-frail enemies.
-
Attack and Speed increasing skills such as Swift Sparrow, Atk/Spd Push 4, and Fury assist Annette in performing follow-up attacks, KOing fast and/or bulky enemies, and reaching enough Attack to activate Heavy Blade so she can activate Galeforce after her first combat. Time’s Pulse and Quickened Pulse are great choices to ensure Annette can activate Galeforce even if the enemy cannot counterattack, although the former can be replaced by Def Smoke to improve Annette’s damage against nearby enemies.
-
Null Follow-Up is crucial to ensure that Annette can activate Heavy Blade twice to activate Galeforce. However, Desperation can also be chosen to ensure Annette can KO an enemy after activating Galeforce instead of being KO’d by their counterattack.
Strengths
Excellent offenses
With a fantastic 39 Attack and solid 36 Speed, Annette can inflict great amounts of damage and consistently perform follow-up attacks with some Speed investment/buffs.
Surprisingly solid mixed bulk
40 HP, 28 Defense, and 30 Resistance results in a workable 67 physical bulk and decent 69 magical bulk. While not fantastic, Annette is consistently capable of surviving at least one attack from enemies.
Crusher
Annette truly shines thanks to her Crest weapon, the Crusher. Along with granting +3 Attack and adaptive damage (targeting the lower of the enemy’s Defense and Resistance), when Annette Rallies an ally (unless the ally is a 2-range cavalier), that ally also gains +1 Movement through their next action. This significantly increases Annette’s team’s flexibility, as moving in and out of enemy lines can become much easier. Crusher’s Rally Movement effect can also contribute to dangerous Aether Raids defenses, particularly with Galeforce and Lunge cavaliers.
Infantry advantages
As an Infantry unit, Annette has access to a plethora of useful skills that improve her combat potential such as Bonus Doubler and Null Follow-Up. She also scarcely has to worry about Infantry-effective damage.
Weaknesses
Crusher’s support focus
While Crusher grants +3 Attack and adaptive damage, Annette doesn’t receive an additional effect that further benefits her and her stats; rather, she gets her Rally Movement effect. While Rally Movement is a fantastic additional effect and makes Annette a unique support unit, Annette would have also appreciated in-combat buffs to her stats to strengthen her performance and consistency.
Needs a Rally Assist
In order to grant her allies extra movement, she needs to Rally them. As such, if looking to use Annette as a support unit, she can’t replace her Rally with a different Assist that may be more flexible, such as Reposition.
