  • With the Nifl Frostflowers refine, Bridal Sanaki is able to reach unprecedented amounts of Atk and Res before any skills and boons. This opens her up to a Res-tanking niche, which she can perform quite well thanks to her bases. As such, this build will focus on her role as a Res tank and prioritize skills that will help bolster that role.

  • As a Res tank, Bridal Sanaki will want to have some sort of sustain. This notably comes in the form of Noontime as it is a low CD Special that provides a decent amount of healing. On the other hand, depending on her support, she can run a damaging Special instead. For instance, if running Duo Hilda as her support, she can retaliate with Iceberg, assuming she doubles, and can receive healing. Meanwhile, if using New Year Velouria, she can run Glacies instead. Any of these options are worth considering, but it’s important that she has sustainability at the end of the day.

  • Two solid skills for Res tanking include Atk/Res Unity and Distant Def. Atk/Res Unity is more of an Aether Raids skill since it relies on debuffs, but assuming she is being run as a carry with Near Save support, she can use Atk/Res Unity to stack her Atk and Res stats respectively. Alternatively, she can run Distant Def as a budget option since it will grant her a flat 6-8 Def/Res depending on the variant used. Either option is good for her and will usually result in the same performance, but if you can afford it, Atk/Res Unity would be the way to go.

  • Since B Passive options are limited to Bridal Sanaki and most Ranged Fliers as a whole, she only has a couple of notable options to work with. Quick Riposte is a decent option as it can allow Bridal Sanaki to bypass Impact skills and secure doubles in the Enemy Phase. Meanwhile, she can opt for Mystic Boost for additional healing. This can be combined with a damaging Special if you believe she’ll heal enough with Mystic Boost. Other than those two skills, there really isn’t much else that can be recommended.

  • One of her best options for her C Passive would be Atk/Res Rein as it not only increases her overall bulk but also increases her damage output. Of course, since it is a premium option, it’s entirely understandable that you’d want a substitute option. As such, running either Res Smoke or Atk Smoke works in place of Atk/Res Rein since they can increase her tanking potential or damage output, depending on preference.

  • To further bolster her role as a Res tank, Bridal Sanaki can opt for Sacred Seals that bolster her overall Res. Atk/Res Solo is a good option as it increases both of her best stats. This can allow her to retaliate back with harder Specials. Likewise, she can take Distant Def to not only improve her magic-tanking capabilities but also on the off-chance she goes up against a Dagger unit, she can take a hit (Bows are off the table for obvious reasons). If neither of these options appeals to you, she can simply take anything that increases her Atk and Res.

  • If using Bridal Sanaki as an Enemy Phase unit isn’t what you want to do with her, she can invest into her Spd stat instead and be used in the Player Phase. Bridal Sanaki may not be the fastest unit in the game, only sitting at a base Spd of 30, but it’s more than enough to get started. Preferably, you would want to replace her PRF weapon with Gronnfox+ as it inflicts -4 to all stats on the foe, but it’s not necessary. She can always keep her PRF weapon for higher damage output and run skills that bolster her Spd to a significant degree. Either way, this set is focused on prioritizing her Spd stat first and foremost, and any other significant stat afterward.

  • Specials with a cooldown of two will be the best option for Bridal Sanaki as she’ll be able to trigger them every combat, provided that she is running Heavy Blade in her kit. Noontime is the only exception since it’s anti-synergetic with the rest of the recommended kit. Of course, Bridal Sanaki can always store a Special for secondary combat, such as Iceberg or Glacies, for foes that are harder to take out. In any case, there are plenty of options at her disposal.

  • Any skill that increases her Atk and Spd will be desired for this set. Most notably, Fury will more than likely be the best option since Bridal Sanaki’s low HP alongside the recoil damage can allow her to get into the Desperation range very quickly, especially if she has an HP bane. However, it isn’t her only option. Bridal Sanaki can also run Heavy Blade to help secure 2 CD Special triggers during combat. However, this can be run as her Sacred Seal instead, so it’s not as much of a priority as a skill that increases her Atk and Spd.

  • The only notable skill that synergizes with this set is Desperation. It’s not the worst skill by any means and can work really well if set up correctly, but there isn’t anything else that can be recommended that allows her to perform much better.

  • Although premium, Spd/Res Rein and Atk/Spd Rein are going to be the best options for Bridal Sanaki. Depending on which stat you want to prioritize, the Atk debuff can allow her to make more secure Heavy Blade checks while the Res debuff will allow her to hit harder. That being said, she’ll want to have a Spd debuff to help her secure doubles. Understandably, if these aren’t available options, she can run a Smoke skill such as Spd Smoke to help bolster her overall performance.

  • Any Sacred Seal that increases Bridal Sanaki’s Spd will be desired. Atk/Spd Solo is one of the better options for her since it not only increases her Spd but also allows her to output more damage overall. Likewise, she can opt for Heavy Blade instead as it can help her trigger 2 CD Specials every combat. However, if she is running Iceberg or other 3 CD+ Specials, she can stick with Atk/Spd Solo or even Spd/Res Solo.

Strengths

Solid Attack

Bridal Sanaki starts out with a solid base Atk of 36 that can be further bolstered thanks to the Nifl Frostflowers refine. With the refined weapon equipped, Bridal Sanaki is able to gain an unprecedented amount of Atk from several of its effects including:

  • The initial 17 MT the weapon has
  • Atk/Res +5 if within three spaces of an ally
  • Up to +4 Atk based on the number of allies within three spaces of the unit
  • An additional +5 Atk/Res if foe’s HP is above or equal to 50%
  • An Atk bonus during combat based on the highest Atk bonus from allies within two spaces

Simply put, it stacks up really fast and can even lead to plenty of OHKOs provided that the foe does not have any form of Damage Reduction.

High Resistance

Similarly with the Nifl Frostflowers refine, Bridal Sanaki is able to gain an additional +10 Res from her weapon as long as the conditions are met. And assuming she has those conditions activated, she’ll start out with a base Res stat of 43. Additionally, with Res-boosting skills and/or a Res boon, Bridal Sanaki is able to reach very high amounts of Res, which can open her up to a magic-tanking niche.

Weaknesses

Low Defense

Although Bridal Sanaki’s Res stat is nothing to scoff at, her Def is left to be desired. Starting out with a base Def of 16, Bridal Sanaki will more than likely fall in battle to any physical-hitting unit. On that note, because her Def is so low, as well as her HP, she doesn’t have to worry about bow effectiveness as they’ll have no issue taking her out even with Iote’s Shield equipped. As such, she can focus on bolstering her Atk and Res stats.

Is a Ranged Flier

The limitations that come with the Ranged Flier class simply act as a means of hindering the overall performance of Bridal Sanaki rather than excelling them. The lack of any notable B Passives alongside the weakness to Bows, even if she has low Def, simply don’t do much to help Bridal Sanaki. Mayhaps when we get more competitive options, she’ll be in a better position, but until then, it cannot be stated enough that her class is a detriment.
